It Is No Secret (What God Can Do) Lyrics - Elvis Presley

Review The Song (8)

(Words & music by Stuart Hamblin)
The chimes of time ring out the news,
Another day is through.
Someone slipped and fell.
Was that someone you?

You may have longed for added strength,
Your courage to renew.
Do not be disheartened,
For I have news for you.

It is no secret what God can do.
What He's done for others, He'll do for you.
With arms wide open, He'll pardon you.
It is no secret what God can do.

There is no night for in His light
You'll never walk alone.
Always feel at home,

Wherever you may go.

There is no power can conquer you
While God is on your side.
Take Him at His promise,
Don't run away and hide.

It is no secret what God can do.
What He's done for others, He'll do for you.
With arms wide open, He'll pardon you.
It is no secret what God can do.

i do sing this song as a consolation when e'er am overwhelmed. atimes with warm tears...it is soothing to know that God is ever faithful. just what he did for Paul, Moody, Spurgeon, Gbile and others He can and will do it for me.

My Grandmother sang this song for me | Reviewer: Dave B. | 12/4/13

When I was approximately 6 years old, my Grandmother sang this song. She was a very strong Christian. Speed ahead 54 years and I am listening to a sermon at church last Sunday from the choir loft. The words "It is No Secret" were used in the sermon and instantly the chorus of this song came into my head. I was so happy to do a search on the Internet and find the lyrics. Thank you for having this site for us to discover and review all the lyrics. I was surprised that this song is associated with Elvis. Thanks again and may God Bless.

Lovely memories | Reviewer: June Ritc hie | 1/7/13

When a young girl two evangelists used to crawl through Wigan's streets on Sunday afternoon with a loud speaker playing the song and preaching. as children we followed. we were offered the chance to sing it through the mike and I did so (not fully knowing why) I sanbg it and scampered in to tell mum who was not impressed! But years later I would sing as a Christian in churches and in prisons as a soloist for jesus. He called me!

Memories to Cherish for a Lifetime | Reviewer: Carole Jean Thompson | 11/14/11

During the 1950's, I belonged to a Junior Choir at my church. This song was one of many that traveled with us across Kansas, as we visited other small churches located in the eastern part of the state. My sister and I sang in that little choir for many years and gave me memories to cherish for a lifetime! Thank You so much for bringing them back to me in the lyrics of this song!

How Precious this Song is to me. | Reviewer: Ed | 5/14/11

When I was a young boy of possibly 7 or 8 years years old. My mother Soloed this song in our church Choir. Last Wednesday night a fill in piano player played with our group in our church. She played this song and it brought back so many wonderful memories. My wife being a Soprano singer wanted the Lyrics. Thank you so much for making them available to me. May God Richly Bless You and Yours.

I was 12 years old when Stuart Hamlin recorded this and my brother who was 18 loved this song so much, when he was killed in a car accident that fall my folks had it sang at his funeral. It has always been a song that I cherish and still cry when I hear it sung, I have reequested to have it at my funeral as well. thanks for this site.

From a grown up little boy | Reviewer: Larry | 5/10/06

When I was just a boy (perhaps 5 or 6yrs old - I now am 60), my mom used to sing this song all the time to me. It has served me in some of the darkest times of my life (through drug and alcohol addiction, loss of my family - wife and 5 kids)! I have given my heart and life back to Jesus (before my mom went home to be with Him about 3 yrs ago), and the song is even more precious to me now!!!

Thank you and God Bless
