It's Now or Never Lyrics - Elvis Presley

Review The Song (1)

(words & music by Aaron Schroeder - Wally Gold)
It's now or never,
come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling,
be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
it's now or never
My love won't wait.

When I first saw you
with your smile so tender
My heart was captured,
my soul surrendered
I'd spend a lifetime
waiting for the right time
Now that your near
the time is here at last.

It's now or never,
come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling,
be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
it's now or never
My love won't wait.

Just like a willow,
we would cry an ocean
If we lost true love
and sweet devotion
Your lips excite me,
let your arms invite me
For who knows when
we'll meet again this way

It's now or never,
come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling,
be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
it's now or never
My love won't wait.

And he could sing! | Reviewer: Don Jones | 6/4/12

When I first heard Elvis sing "It's Now or Never", I felt justified in my arguments with my parents and other elders that Elvis could really sing. They said all he could do was mumble words and sing out of tune. With this latest song, Elvis proved to the world that he could sing a variety of songs and sing them well. The song was based on a tune I had heard before (O Sol Mio) but I had never heard any English version of the tune. It was a perfect love song for Elvis who could pick off the high notes in his own way and make them come across with sincerity and charm. With this song, Elvis proved to the world he could sing.
