Great album! | Reviewer: UP THE IRONS! | 3/26/09

I think it's totally wrong to say that this song is the weakest... There are lots of claissics here (maybe not like The Trooper, The Number of the Beast, but cliassics anyways!) like Wasted Years, Caught Somewhere In Time, The Loneliness Of..., Alexander The Great and Heaven can Wait... actually I think there aren't many albums that got so many good songs... If you like Maiden you have to listen to the songs I listed!

I.M. puts up yet another ROCKER, this time showcasing the bands depth and "musicality" ... They never did anything "pleasant" !!

Adrian Smith's lyrics shone through as much here as ever, but some purists may want to tie past successes around their necks like an anchor.

Hell NO, I say. Not every song can be "Run to the Hills" or "Aces High," there also will be "The Prisoner" and "Rime of the Ancient Mariner."

I.M. ROCKED everything they touched, and when you listened to the words of the songs, more than the mere music, you could only be in awe.

They were not just the Metal standard of the 80s, they were also MILES ahead of everyone else, esp in their lyrics. Still fresh today, still HARD, still f--kin' AWESOME.

All hail Iron Maiden! | Reviewer: Lucas Madigan | 10/20/05

After 5 albums (as well as the 1985 live experience Live After Death), Iron Maiden decided to transform their sound into something new: They introduced keyboards on their 7th album, Somewhere In Time. While most of the album is pleasant enough, Somewhere includes only one true Maiden classic (the pummeling rocker "Wasted Years") and the result was the weakest Maiden album yet.
