Somewhere in Time was not a disapointment, yeah they didn't have all Great Songs... But still was a nice Album (Synthesizers where a good choice).
Wasted Years, Caught Somewhere in Time, The Loneliness of the long distance runner, Heaven can wait, DeJa-Va are pretty damn good...
The Songs weren't as catchy as their previous work, and the Vocals did get a bit annoying... But theres something that makes you want to go back and listen to them...
All hail Iron Maiden! | Reviewer: Lucas Madigan | 10/20/05
After the shocking, disappointing, keyboard-oriented Somewhere In Time, Iron Maiden returned to synthesizers on the 1988 concept album 7th Son Of A 7th Son: The album deals with the story of a clairvoyant who warns a village of an upcoming disaster. This is probably the band's most interesting album, and it takes you to a magical place that you thought never existed: "Infinite Dreams" is the standout track here, a majestic power ballad filled with lovely guitar melodies and some of Bruce Dickinson's finest vocals. 7th Son marked the end of Maiden's glory days, due in part to guitarist Adrian Smith leaving the band during the tour for the album.
