International Harvester Lyrics
Performed by Craig MorganReview The Song (66)
I'm the son of a third generation farmer
I've been married 10 years to the farmer's daughter
I'm a God fearing hardworking combine driver
Hogging up the road on my p-p-p-p-plower
Chug-a-lug-a-lugin 5 miles an hour
On my International Harvester.
3 miles of cars laying on their horns
Falling on deaf ears of corn
Lined up behind me like a big parade
Late to work, road raged jerks
Shouting obscene words flippin me the bird
Well you maybe be on a state paved road
But that blacktop runs through my pay load
Excuse me for trying to do my job
But this year ain't been no bumper crop
If you don't like the way I'm a driving
Get back on the interstate
Otherwise sit tight and be nice
And quit your honking at me that way
Cause I'm the son of a 3rd generation farmer
I've been married 10 years to the farmer's daughter
I got 2 boys in the county 4-H
I'm a lifetime sponsor of the FFA
Hey that's what I make
I make a lot of Hay for a little pay
and I'm proud to say
I'm a God fearing hardworking

awesome slice of Americana... | Reviewer: Josh Marihugh | 6/14/11
If you had to put a label on me, I guess I'd be a city boy. My dad's family are all farmers though...north central Kansas wheat. A friend sent me this song when I bought an old International Harvester Cadet lawn tractor. It's a GREAT song...a perfect slice of Americana.
I iown one | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/26/11
I own an International Harvester Travelall and it is the best ever. For you young ones, the last one made was in 1975 and it is a truck!. It was ordered custom made and I have poured money into this money pit with no regrets. The song is my ringtone on my cell phone. I have raised 4 boys, and I am working on the rest of my family. I am a 67 year old grandmother, hunt, gut and skin my own deer, and fish, etc.
All you old ladies in your wheelchairs eat your heart out. LOL LOL just kidding.

I like and play classical music - however my dog prefers country - but when I heard this song I thought it was absolutely great. I love that this farmer is God-fearing and how he lives it out in his dedication to his occupation, his wife and his family. I love that he is willing to take the heat for going 5 mph - for all of us that like to eat.
THANK YOU and write some more!!!

"I don't know what half the crap is he's talking about (4-H, FFA?) but I love this song haha."
1. TY fir liking the song.
2. The 4H is a public funded company based on like boyscout stuff like that and they pretty much help the environment...
3. The FFA or Future Farmers America is a high school program available almost anywhere in the south east united states and they take students on field trips and tech them all the plants grown in their state or surrounding states and teach them to farm just about anything...
Thats all...
Thanks
Haha I love this song. | Reviewer: Sky | 9/13/09
To start off, I hate country. But I heard this song in my buddys car...the lyrics fit the redneck country stereotype so well I laughed and started singing along. I don't know what half the crap is he's talking about (4-H, FFA?) but I love this song haha.

Well written and executed to the T. This song says so much with so few words. It aint really about tractors, more about a certain kind of folk and the best way of life possible. I tip my hat to Mr. Morgan, the song writter the video producer. What a great slice of Americana!

This song is one of the greatest songs ever. It describes me in so many different ways. If your ever a farmer like i am it makes you think a lot of how people do flip you the bird and other stuff they do.
