Infinite Dreams Lyrics - Iron Maiden
Review The Song (23)
Infinite dreams I can't deny them
Infinity is hard to comprehend
I couldn't hear those screams
Even in my wildest dreams
Suffocation waking in a sweat
Scared to fall asleep again
Incase the dream begins again
Someone chasing and cannot move
Standing rigid a nightmare's statue
What a dream, when will it end
And will I transcend?
Restless sleep, the mind's in turmoil
One nightmare ends, another fertile
It's getting to me so scared to sleep
But scared to wake now, in too deep
sponsored linksEven though it reached new heights
I rather like the restless nights
It makes me wonder, it makes me think
There's more to this, I'm on the brink
It's not the fear of what's beyond
It's just that I might not respond
I have an interest almost craving
Would I like to get too far in?
It can't be all coincidence
Too many things are evident
You tell me "You're an unbeliever"
Spiritualist? Well me, I'm neither
But wouldn't you like to know
Of what's out there to have the proof
And find out just which side
Where would you end in Heaven or
Help me! Help me to find my true
Self without seeing the future
Save me, save me from torturing
Myself even within my dreams
There's got to be just more to it
Or tell me why do we exist
I'd like to think that when I die
I'd get a chance another time
And to return and live again
Reincarnate, play the game
Again and again and again and again

your lyrics | Reviewer: Colleen | 10/24/11
In the second stanza (I'm not really sure what to call it because it's not really a verse or anything like that) it should say, "someone chasing, I cannot move." Other than that your lyrics are very helpful.
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son | Reviewer: Goodness | 12/23/10
Infinite dreams is an awesome piece of metal-Music, i´m doing the song within my guitarlessons (i´m a guitar teacher), never mind if my students are age 12 or 50, they´re all smashed by this wonderful Power-Song, great emotions, perfect guitarwork, i love it and i´ll ever do. Remembers me of the Mid 80´s when i was practicing to the Maiden-stuff.
Somewhere In Time&Seventh Son: best IM-Albums ever, best Metal-Albums ever recorded.
infinite dreams and dream of mirrors are my favourite | Reviewer: aramant | 7/30/10
i agree, dream of mirrors is better, but this is also a beautiful song. love the intro and solo, lyrics to both of these songs intrigue me with its frightening familiarity and attention to detail. up the irons from new zealand much respect to all those that listen to great music such as this

I've been listening to this song for 8 to 10 years now, and just this week I payed attention on its lyrics. IT's so amazing how they made it, it's so meaningful and so true, and yet so scary. I think it represents a question that we all make "is there an afterlife?"
Man! I'm happy and scaried at the same time. I wish Maiden could be there forever...

Fantastic MEANINGFUL lyrics, so often you find from other bands that lyrics just act as fillers. Bruce's voice is so powerful.
The guitar parts building up to that galloping climax in the middle are second to none and make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, every time without fail.
UP THE IRONS!
Great Band. Great Song | Reviewer: ben | 12/13/09
Songwriting at its finest! Great lyrics and music.. Eddie's voice is the finest in metal. Notice how his voice sounds very like the record in their old concerts? How i wish more bands can come up with very inspired music and lyrics like this!!
GREAT SONG | Reviewer: firstname.lastname@example.org | 5/15/09
I don't like to categorize songs as "the best song ever", I rather like just to say this is a great song both the contents of the lyrics and the music, when I bought the album back in the 80's this was the song that inmediately took my attention. Thanks Iron Mainden!

I love this song.
I agree 7th son is the best album.
I can connect very well with the lyrics. Every word and sentence I'm able to interpret with scary accuracy personally.
