So ya
Thought ya
Might like to
Go to the show.
To feel that warm thrill of confusion,
That space cadet glow.
I've got some bad news for you sunshine,
Pink isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel
And they sent us along as a surrogate band
We're gonna find out where you fans really stand!
Are there any queers in the theatre tonight?
Get them up against the wall!
There's one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me
Get him up against the wall!
That one looks Jewish!
And that one's a coon!
Who let all of this riff-raff into the room?
There's one smoking a joint,
And another with spots
If I had my way,
I'd have all of you shot!

Review about In the Flesh (II) Try to see the compleate meaning of the complete album, Tom | Reviewer: Cristobal | 10/22/09
The album is the story of Pink, a rock star, and in this song, after trying to commit suicide, Pink is having a nightmare in which he is a dictator of a fascist nation. What should he say to refer to black person?
I presume you haven't seen the movie either, are you?
Just to let you know.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/15/07
Coon is a derogatory term for African Americans. Thom is dumb for liking the song just for the reference of "coon," but they are in fact referring to African Americans.
This part of The Wall to the ending is probably my favorite part of the entire album/movie.
this is one of my favorite songs on the wall... and tom, you're a jackass, they didnt say anything about AFRICAN AMERCICANS in this song... just about queers, which im suprised you're not mad about...
