Bellingham, WA's Idiot Pilot included Michael Harris (vocals) and Daniel Anderson (guitars, keys, programming). Strange We Should Meet Here, the duo's debut, originally appeared in February 2004 through their own Clickpop imprint. But word of mouth was strong for the band's plucky blend of moody electronics and screeching post-hardcore noise, and Idiot Pilot was soon getting spins on Seattle modern rock radio and scoring gigs at Experience Music Project. They signed with Reprise in May of that year, gigged up and down the West Coast, and by the following autumn were preparing for the re-release of their (now remastered) album. Reprise did just that in May 2005 (after pushing the date back a few months), and Idiot Pilot hit the road in support.

Strange, we should meet in a CD shop! | Reviewer: st. jimmy | 7/5/2007

This Washington duo make a noise that is strange and beautiful at the same time. Their most famous single, A day in the life of a poolshark, unites electronic elements with a screaming post-hardcore. I think that the band Enter Shikari have heard at least one time this freaking fantastic album. I can't wait for their sophomore, Wolves (produced by Mark Hoppus). Idiot Pilot is a great band, another great band of Reprise Records, like Green Day, My Chemical Romance, The Used, Smashing Pumpkins...

like nothing you've ever heard before. | Reviewer: Kelley | 5/24/2007

I can honestly say, their music has impacted me in a way nothing else has. unlike most music these days, when you listen to their music, you feel something. its undescribable. its "out of this world."
amazing.

Never Leaves My CD Player | Reviewer: Renee | 3/28/2006

All I can say for this band is...WOW! or AMAZING!
Their sound is like nothing I have heard before and actually liked/loved!
Their debut album "Strange We Should Meet Here" has not left my cd player since I bought it..or my ipod haha
Idiot Pilot has such an awesome Ambient/Experimental sound that you fall in love with right away! Ahh!!! I cant get enough of their music!
The screaming is enough to handle so if you dont like lots of screaming that you cant understand, then this is the band for you!
BUY THEIR ALBUM ASAP! You cant go wrong!
Its so amazing how two 18 year olds can make such great music! Thats right..ONLY TWO GUYS!
