This band matured through the years and this is a great example of them not feeling the need to "pop" it up. This wonderful 'journey' through the sounds of love and longing flow right into their "Trial By Fire", which is equally wonderful. Neil Schon is a guitar god, and Perrys' voice is more relaxed but just as strong as in his youth. This is by far one of Journey's best albums, it's just more mature than their last few (although nothing can beat the sheer energy of Infinity, Evolution, and Departure.
