It sounds like a lot like old guns at times but the spirit is very different, Chinese democracy is possibly a lyrical high watermark for the GNR name but we need Slash back on the guitar. Seriously, I can't be the only one who hates most of the guitar work on this album. It's usually tuned so high that it just becomes piercing and annoying. A great example is the guitar solo in "Better".
