The Smiths I WON'T SHARE YOU Lyrics

Last updated: 07/20/2010 11:00:00 AM

I won't share you, no
I won't share you
With the drive
And ambition
The zeal I feel
This is my time

The note I wrote
As she read, she said
"Has the Perrier gone
Straight to my head
Or is life sick and cruel, instead ?"

"YES !"
No - no - no - no - no - no
No - no - no - no - no - no
Oh ...

I won't share you, no
I won't share you
With the drive
And the dreams inside
This is my time

Life tends to come and go
That's OK
As long as you know
Life tends to come and go
As long as you know
Know, know, know, know, know
Know, know, know, know
Oh ...

I won't share you, no
I won't share you
With the drive
And the dreams inside
This is my time

I want the freedom and I want the guile
I want the freedom and the guile
Oh, life tends to come and go
As long as you know
Know, know, know, know
Know, know, know, know
Oh ...

I won't share you, no
I won't share you
I'll see you somewhere
I'll see you sometime
Darling ...

What a song | Reviewer: daniel | 7/20/10

Brilliantly simple and effortlessly brilliant. A hidden jem of a song that captures all that was and still remains great about the smiths. Despite the brilliance of songs like Accept yourself, Still Ill and This Charming man, Morrisseys' delicate vocals and Marr's elegantly streaming guitar work are found in perfect harmony in a song that remains a firm favourite of mine. Basically, its a f**kin classic.

this band was, is and allways be the greatest of all. very simple: Morrissey has the best voice in the history of rock and Marr is one of the most gifted songwriters ever existed... there will never be another band so great, so profound, with such a great songs like this one... absolutely incredible
