I, I still remember
How you looked
That afternoon
There was only you
You said "it's just like a full moon"
Blood beats faster in our veins
We left our trousers by the canal
And our fingers, they almost touched
You should have asked me for it
I would have been brave
You should have asked me for it
How could I say no?
And our love could have soared
Over playgrounds and rooftops
Every park bench screams your name
I kept your tie
I'd have gone whereever you wanted
(I still remember)
(I still remember)
And on that teachers' training day
We wrote our names on every train
Laughed at the people off to work
So monochrome and so lukewarm
And I could see our days are becoming nights
I could feel your heartbeat across the grass
We should have run
I would go with you anywhere
I should have kissed you by the water
You should have asked me for it
I would have been brave
You should have asked me for it
How could I say no?
And our love could have soared
Over playgrounds and rooftops
Every park bench screams your name
I kept your tie
I would let you if you asked me

Review about I Still Remember Best Band Since The Turn Of The Century? | Reviewer: Niall | 1/11/09
Everything about this band is amazing. Great songs accomplished by well educated and meaningful lyrics.
Every song on every album is great and so easy on the ear. At first listen the songs are just good but each song has a deeper meaning which is one of my personal favourite factors about this band.
Cant think of any other band better than these since 2000. Maybe even best band since the Roses?
I still remember...... | Reviewer: Lee | 1/9/09
This song could have been written about me and a certain girl I went to school with in the mid-eighties. This song is almost word for word exactly how I felt at the time.
I never got the girl by the way... I should have been brave?
Truly Immense (: | Reviewer: Pheonix | 11/4/07
This definitley has to be my ultimate favourite of bloc party, I can never get tired of their music but Kele uses such amazing and influential lyrics in this song.
It is one of their only songs that sounds happy but I think in a way that mkes them even popular.
BIG UP TO BANQUET DANCE REMIX!!
:D
i love these lyrics | Reviewer: Casey Madigan | 5/3/07
Im a big fan of this band but this song would have to be my favourite..i can to relate to the lyrics and i really like the film clip..
This song brings back memories of the boy that I fell in love with last summer, we became best friends, held hands, and danced together. Then camp ended, he went back to Florida and I stayed in North Carolina. I'm afraid I'll never see this boy again, even though we still stay in touch, it's just not the same as seeing him in person. I should have kissed him. I love this song because it makes me think of him.
I luv dis song luv luv luv it, normally i wouldnt listen to bloc party but its made me realise how much i like them...great song and whoever wrote this song, veri gurd lyrics hope to b a lyricist when im older so thanks for all the inspiration!!!
