I love this song too, im an atheist myself, but still the voice means more to me, the "lord" and "angels" dosent have to do anything with god. ofc "lord" is pretty god like - i know that. But it can also be an expression that says that he wants some1 or something to protect her, cuz he cant do it? no1 can protect her? so he makes a prayer instead ;) tadaah!!

Mmmmkay, just a few things here.
First, if someone doesn't like a song, then whatever, you don't have to bite their heads off. Not everything's for everyone. I personally am not a huge fan of I'm Not Okay (I Promise), but I'm one of the few people who bought I Brought You My Bullets... on the day that it came out. Whatever, it hardly matters. Let people have their opinions.
Secondly, I thought this section was for reviews, not forcibly removing the heads of anyone who gives their opinion. I could be wrong. But if I'm right, I'm being a hypocrite, I know. So back to the song.
I adore this, I really do. When Three Cheers... came out, I was a bit wary, it was such a huge change from the songs that I fell in love with on I Brought You My Bullets... but my gosh, a couple of songs on it blew me away completely. Jetset and then this, together, they made it. I mean, Helena is brilliant, To the End and Cemetery Drive are immense, the rest of the songs pretty much rad, but hotdamn. This got it all. But I'm never sure of the lyrics. I thought maybe it was, "Since we talked alone, come angels of unknown, come angels of unknown", but to be fair, it could change every time I listen to it for all the definition anyone may have upon it.
Either way up, those five boys sure as hell know how to make music come to life. Another album like this one, or I Brought You My Bullets..., and mygosh, the world will be a better place.
OMFG I LOVE THIS SONG! It describes me so well. Sadly, none of my friends basicly believe in a god. they are athiest or w/e u call it. So, they, I guess you could call them a saint. Well, I get alot of threats and normally almost beat up. So, the saints protect me.
Come angels of the lord? Well, I don't know how that part fits into my life. I only know the 1st part does..
NOTE: lyric correction!!
"Come angels of the lord, Come angles of..."
xDDD
this song is so cool | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/5/08
when i first herd this song i diddnt quite understand what he was saying but i still thought it was beautiful so i went on the internet and i was stuned this song is soooo cool
this is amazing.
they are amazing.
whenever i listen to this, i get a feeling. i have no idea what it is or anything, but there is something about this that is very special to me...
It is amazing.
what does it actually mean??
i would love to discover why it is so affective on me.
This song just shows how talented these men are, who knew that three lines could be so powerful, so moving.
Gerard Ways voice is so beautiful, in all of their songs, he sounds a bit like Tom York from Radiohead in this.
I absolutely love this band and everything they stand for, they changed my life.
And of course Gerard Way is just stunning :D
xx
Plz don't bash the song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/4/08
MCR is so damn amaing. If you don't like them, then WHY are you even looking up the lyrics?!?!? All of their songs have so much meaning in them. This song is only 57 seconds long and only has three lines.(That's ONE stansa.)But yet it is powerfull enough to bring on so much emotion that it can bring a person to tears. So don't bash the song cause it's short or just cause u don't get the lyrics. This song is a accomlishment all in it's own, don't try and bring it down. It's an ode to the Way brothers' grandmother, try an be polite and treat it w/respect.

I don't want to get yelled at for this, so please don't yell at me. I appreciate this song because of it's meaning and the lyrics are beautiful but I don't like the song. Though, now that I think about it, I don't really like a lot of their shorter songs. I don't know why. It's not like I think the song is stupid, because it's not. I just don't like it (but their second album rocks!!). Don't hate me, please!!
MCR ROCKS | Reviewer: TAMI | 2/19/08
Interlude is one of the best because in only a couple short lines, You feel meaning. It's a teerjerker really( I might have spelled teer wrong.)
I love all their songs and Gerards voice doesn't suck in this song. It's a beautiful song and he's a great lyricist.
