I Just Want You Lyrics - Ozzy Osbourne

Review The Song (5)

There are no unlockable doors
There are no unwinnable wars
There are no unrightable wrongs
Or unsingable songs

There are no unbeatable odds
There are no believable gods
There are no unnameable names
Shall I say it again, yeah

There are no impossible dreams
There are no invisible seams
Each night when the day is through
I don't ask much

I just want you
I just want you

There are no uncriminal crimes
There are no unrhymable rhymes
There are no identical twins or
forgivable sins

There are no incurable ills
There are no unkillable thrills
One thing and you know it's true,
I don't ask much

I just want you
I just want you
I just want you
I just want you

I'm sick and tired of bein' sick and tired
I used to go to bed so high and wired, yeah - yeah, yeah, yeah
I think I'll buy myself some plastic water
I guess I should have married Lennon's daughter, yeah - yeah, yeah, yeah

There are no unachievable goals
There are no unsaveable souls
No legitimate kings or queens, do
you know what I mean? Yeah

There are no indisputable truths
And there ain't no fountain of youth
Each night when the day is through,
I don't ask much

I just want you
I just want you
I just want you
I just want you
I just want you
I just want you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I just want you
I just want you,
Hey, yeah
I just want you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I just want you, hey
I just want you
I just want you

As they say in Russian (exact translation is impossible) "this song embraces souls". Thank you, Ozzy. I love you since 1971. Student campus. A friend of mine meets me with his eyes wide open. I've just listened to the music of a group which is cooler than "Deep Purple". "Black Sabbath"!
But Ozzy, you have a great inheritor both in music and lyrics (different style, but the sincerity is the same). His name is Matt.

great song and great lyrics... love it | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/20/10

My flavor is, that this song is about love... it shows how we run-across/strive for lot of things in life; like money, religion, ideals, etc, etc..... but ultimately, in the end of the day, all the really matters is, all that really gives the absolute and real satisfaction is 'love'.
If we really reflect about what we want in life, what we are struggling for and striving for in life, its love.
In the end of the day, the greatest happiness is to have your loved one with you, with love and knowing the she/he also loves you, and there's no other happiness like that...
This is just my way of interpreting... this is the idea that hit me when I first heard the song... also a good way of interpreting, isn't it?

The lyrics are right | Reviewer: Se7en | 3/24/08

The lyrics are right.

"I don't ask much, I just want you"

And this song is not about religion but about certainties and the pain that comes with doubt. Yes, Ozzy doesn't like pushy religious freaks, but in this song he is lost and sick and tired of a life where there's no stable and absolute truth he can always refer to.

"I just want you" might be directed at the person whom he finds safety\security with.

I love Ozzy. He is so honest in his lyrics.

lyrics wrong | Reviewer: xensun | 7/9/07

it should be "I just want to own you" not "I just want you" the song is about religion and how how it "dosnt ask much, it just wants to own you", or that's how I understand, and hear it. I could be wrong thoe
