This is Quite Possibly my Favorite Johnny Cash song, although there are far too many to be able to hold any high then the rest. This is song is perfect for those nights you and the lady have a problem and you r off to the pub. total bar song

like all johnny cash songs lonesome whistle is a master piece,i had the privelage of meeting johnny and the carter family in 1967 at queensville nova scotia at a service station where i was pumping gas we talked awhile and ate plums got all their autographs which i still have.{johnny cash will be a legend for a long time to come}
