I just found out the friend of 16 years he sung about. It was Lance Wilson of Gibbs. I was a friend of Lance's father, Steve and best friends with Sam (Steve's brother). I remember when Lance was killed in a car wreck. So I know about the "Only the Good Die Young".

This is one of Kenny's best songs...everyone can relate to it..we all do have a song that takes us back to somewhere, another place and time... wheter its good or bad.. anyone in the world can relate to this song...Kenny Chesney is by far THE best country artist EVER....I love him soo much....this song just adds to my love for him....Buy the CD! In fact, buy all of his CD's if you havent already! ITs so worth it.
