    Although Queensryche hit mainstream status with Silent Lucidity, it was this song with its strong lyrics and moving riffs that took the band to a different level for fans. The song helps the listener realize the downside of love lost and future love. The band comes from Seattle just before the "grunge" scene hit, and it is evident in the lyrics from Tate that he saw more to life than "party rock". This song is a real ballad.
