I have always loved CC. Right from their first album back in 1990, when I was 15, I knew ex-reverend Chris Barnes was a poet. My friend actually dug up and defiled graves while listening to CC on his walkman back in the day. That's how much we cared about the music. I can't believe how much I laughed at the inventiveness of the lyrics. You really do have to take your time to come up with this poetry. Thanks to Cannibal Corpse I cannot witness a horrible car accident without laughing my ass off at the mangled victims. When you listen and laugh your ass off to this stuff over and over again, real-life gore becomes hilarious as well. I would recommend this stuff to any person who wants to explore the dark side of their souls.

okey, CC fans. i agree that metal is cool, and i really prefer it instead of pop music. but many of these death (and also some black) metal lyrics are just plain stupid. i myself find it close to hilarious, 'cause it's just bullshit. the lyrics are bad, not because they're disgusting, but because they are stupid and not very well written. song lyrics should be like poetry, and not like this shit. please, let me know if any of these bands make a song with good lyrics, okey?

i am not the biggest cc fan but i do appreciate what these guys do they help define the genre that is death metal you can say as much as you want blah blah i listen to real metal a7x bullet for my valentine slipknot but hello different genre they are not death metal myself im patial to cradle of filth but i still appreciate what other bands do and listen to other bands regularly if you dont like death metal dont listen to it. dont hate on it just coz you dont like it

Ok, ive been a long time Cannibal Corpse fan, and this is for all of you who 'cannot understand why they write lyrics like this, and why people like them'. What people forget is the MUSICAL value of their songs. They write terrific riffs, have complex time signatures with badass grooves and are one of the BEST when it comes to death metal. The lyrics are fantasy based, something that even George Fisher (current vocalist) agrees would never happen in real life. There is plenty of bloodshed, rape, murder, torture in the bible and art at the vatican. Why does that never get questioned? And that ACTUALLY happened (at least christians have GOT to believe it, lol). I agree its gross, but remember what they are first - a death metal band. All they write is about death, destruction, brutality and they damn well know its not real life - and so do their fans. So yeah, they f*cking RULE!

Last night i came blood. I know what they were talking about... I didn't know what was going on at first and i checked it out on the internet to figure it out and this popped up and i was like, "YEAH! People who complain about the lyrics of Cannibal corpse obviously haven't listened to the actual music. You can't hear the lyrics anyway! Not to mention, the only people who listen to this kind of music like these sort of lyrics anyway. If you don't like the music, or the lyrics, don't bother listening to it. Simple as that. And stop wastin your time angering the people who actually want to listen to this music. We have better things to be doing with our lives than replying to all the spam on these pages.

tsk tsk to people who are complaining about this song.If the lyrics are not graphic or disgusting then it is not a cannibal corpse song. That is the feeling that they are trying to evoke on the listners. The band doesnt really takes its self serious; their just big fans of horror and ill their doing is bringing horror stories to us the listners and fans. People complaing are taking the lyrics too seriously and are missing the whole point and what Cannibal Corpse is about. DONT BASH ON SOMETHING YOU DONT UNDERSTAND. Also for people who bring up other bands like Suicide Silence,A7X and all that remains as examples of "Real metal" or "better" have not listened to much metal. Cannibal Corpse has been doing this for 10+ years and is as bit as influential in the death metal genre for setting a bar for extreme music and death metal music in general. On a last note, the great thing about music is that there is something out there for everyone and a person should always keep in open mind about music because it comes in so many differnt forms.
