So this was sort of a stop gap, let's-make-a-hit affair whilst the real masterpiece was being constructed in the background. And considering that, it's frightfully good. The urgency in the guitar rifs is terrific and Daltry's vocals are in top form. The muddy production is a bit frustrating, however, and the I Can See For Miles refrain gets a bit tiresome. Hey, I could Definitely be wrong, but, I think that the correct lyrics to the line, "Well, that's as may be," are actually "Well, that's JUST may be,"......
