When I was young I was the nicest guy I knew
I thought I was the chosen one
But time went by and I found out a thing or two
My shine wore off as time wore on
I thought that I was living out the perfect life
But in the lonely hours when the truth begins to bite
I thought about the times when I turned my back & stalled
I ain't no nice guy after all
When I was young I was the only game in town
I thought I had it down for sure,
But time went by and I was lost in what I found
The reasons blurred, the way unsure
I thought that I was living life the only way
But as I saw that life was more than day to day
I turned around, I read the writing on the wall
I ain't no nice guy after all
I ain't no nice guy after all
In all the years you spend between your birth and death
You know there's lots of times when you should have saved your breath
It comes as quite a shock when that trip leads to a fall
I ain't no nice guy after all
I ain't no nice guy after all
solo
When I was young I was the nicest guy I knew
I thought I was the chosen one
But time went by and I found out a thing or two
My shine wore off as time wore on
I thought that I was living out the perfect life
But in the lonely hours that the truth begins to bite
I turned around I read the writing on the wall
I ain't no nice guy after all
I ain't no nice guy after all

Review about I Ain't No Nice Guy not that surpriseing | Reviewer: ravenfoot | 8/20/2007
firstly for crizi. if you look up your motorhead albums and even ozzy's you will find that they have co writen quite a few tracks together.this i must admit is the first and onlt track they have both sung the lyrics together.and when you get the man in black and the rince of darkness together you can bet its somthing so right with it.this is go to be a classic in the waiting lyrically compeling both complament each other vocaly and the blues'y riff's call the shots a masterpice if ever i heard one.and ive heard many over many years.since lemmy's day's at hawkwind and way before then as well.... feel this song with your soul forget what you cant hear and hear it as a whole...peace
For starters I never thought the loudest band would stop playing loudest of all. It's weird listening to Lemmy Kilmister without loud drums, bass and guitar aside. Kind of nice suprise I'd say, but I'm thinking what the **** is Ozzy doing in the song? The uncut version with Lemmy alone is far greater then this edited crap.
This is a song I'd never expected from motorhead, but it's a nice surprise. The acoustic guitars create a nostalgic sound that work perfectly with the lyric, and Lemmy and Ozzy voices create a great duet.
These two old bad guys are exactly the people the song tells about.
The melody is very touching but the rock intermission shows that they're still metal guys.
