I walked this road
So very long ago
To show the way
So you would know
I walked the road
With holes in my hands in feet
To make the way
Come follow me
Chorus:
No, you are not alone
You will be free indeed
The journey begins and ends
With me
One million miles
It starts with a step or two
What are you waiting for?
I'm waiting for you
You run the race
Thinking you've almost won
Then you may find
You've only begun
You're on the road
Thinking you're far from here
And suddenly find
You're very near

Review about I'm Waiting For You A Forgotten Gem | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/3/09
This is just a wonderful little song off of Michael's I'll Lead You Home album. It never got any air-play or anything, but I still think it's one of his best songs. When Michael performed it a concert in Korea some time ago, he talked about how when you have as big a catalogue as he does, you sometimes stumble across songs you'd forgotten you'd written. He said this was one of those songs, but he pulled it out and performed it that night, and it was a great moment. It's a very tender piece that effectively communicates God's deep, enduring love and His desire to embrace us as His children. It always lifts my spirit, and I'm sure it will lift yours as well.
