I'll Fly Away Lyrics - Johnny Cash

Review The Song (1)

Some glad morning when this life is over,
I'll fly away.
To a home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, O Glory,
I'll fly away. (In the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, bye and bye,
I'll fly away.

When the shadows of this life are gone,
I'll fly away.
Like a bird from prison bars has flown
I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, O Glory,
I'll fly away. (In the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, bye and bye,
I'll fly away.

Just a few more weary days and then,
I'll fly away.
To a land where joy shall never end,
I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, O Glory,
I'll fly away. (In the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, bye and bye,
I'll fly away.

I'll Lay My Cloak Down, and I'll Fly Away | Reviewer: Dorothy Cote | 9/20/2007

I remember singing this song when I was a young girl back in the 1950's and how it gave off so much energy & happiness to everyone. I loved it then and love it more now. There's so much entusiasm in the music and the words of this song give one the feeling of joy, knowing that when this life is o'er we'll be home on Gods celestial shore
