In 1972 Huey returned to San Francisco after hitchhiking
through Europe with his harmonica. He and Sean Hopper
joined a country-rock band called Clover. At a nightclub in
Los Angeles (1976), Clover was spotted by English
singer/producer Nick Lowe and Jake Riviera who then took
the band to the U.K., but Clover disappeared in the punk
fever that had gripped Europe at the time.
In 1978 Huey was playing at Uncle Charlie's, a club in
Corte Madera, California, doing the 'Monday Night Live'
spot, along with future News men. After recording the song
'Exo-Disco' (a disco version of the theme from the film
'Exodus') Huey got a 'singles contract' from Phonogram
Records, and Bob Brown became Manager. Members of a
jazz-funk band called Soundhole, which had been a rival

Very few bands/artists ever stretch a long period of time with consecutively successful albums. Huey Lewis and the News, however, are an exception. They have persevered through the 80's and 90's, with seeming unending inspiration and energy. Their songs have become rightly popular, infectious and positive, with Huey's unique grainy melodic voice. Huey Lewis and the News are now living on, with their past illuminating what the future has in store for them. Do not pass this band up.

This is absolutely one of the greatest songs ever! The guitar riff on the chorus is certainly one of the greatest of all time.
It doesn't hurt that the song is about hot loving, something most people look for. But, that's not all there is to it. When you hear the song, you start to get this story of the inside of that woman. It's more than sex. Maybe she knows it's all she wants from people, but it doesn't bother her. Though, I don't recommend the lifestyle, she doesn't care. But, it makes her that much sexier, mysterious, and irresistible.
