How Do You Get That Lonely Lyrics - Blaine Larsen

Review The Song (19)

It was just another story printed on the second page
Underneath the Tiger's football score
It said he was only eighteen, a boy about my age
They found him face down on his bedroom floor

There'll be services on Friday at the Lawrence Funeral Home
Then out on Mooresville highway, they'll lay him 'neath a stone...

How do you get that lonely, how do you hurt that bad
To make you make the call, that havin' no life at all
Is better than the life that you had
How do you feel so empty, you want to let it all go
How do you get that lonely... and nobody know

Did his girlfriend break up with him, did he buy or steal that gun?
Did he lose a fight with drugs or alcohol?
Did his Mom and Daddy forget to say I love you son?
Did no one see the writing on the wall?

I'm not blamin' anybody, we all do the best we can

I know hindsight's 20/20, but I still don't understand...

How do you get that lonely, how do you hurt that bad
To make you make the call, that havin' no life at all
Is better than the life that you had
How do you feel so empty, you want to let it all go
How do you get that lonely... and nobody knows

It was just another story printed on the second page
Underneath the Tiger's football score...

This song, the first time id hever heard it, i cryed soo hard. It reminded me of my dad who got his self killed due to alcohol, and he died when i was a baby. So when this song came on, i cried....

sad | Reviewer: quin | 7/21/08

i first heard this song over two years ago. i had gotten a phone call from my mother saying that my friend had killed himself while i was at work. on the way home i didnt listen to any music. the next night i went to work and ended up leaving for a gathering with friends in his memory. i finnally mustered up the courage to listen to the radio. And this is the song that i heard. the song described the situation so welll. and it ended up helping me through the hard time that comes of losing a good friend

Thank you | Reviewer: Mendie | 8/16/07

I heard this song when it came out and cried for hours listening to it over and over again! Years ago i was suicidal and came close several times but God had his hand on me and I made it through with the love of family and friends! I keep Blaine's CD in my car constantly because if I need to hear the song it is there not to depress me but to remind me how far I have come in my life! Every time now I go through a rough time and wonder how i can get through it i put the song on or watch the video and think that if i got through what i did years ago I can get through anything!

i like this song but then again i don't, only because someone i was very close with comitted suicide. It was very upsetting and when i hear this song its makes me think about him. But the sng really does make people think and u did a good job using the right words

From Our Town | Reviewer: 14 Forever | 1/22/07

This song was written by a friend of mine’s dad, Mr. Feek. He wrote this after a boy in my home town killed himself. This boy impacted our whole community in everything he did. He was the baseball star, a friend of everyone, and the boy all the girls dreamed after. This boy had the smile that would light up the world, and he was also my cousin. The tigers football team refers to the school that he use to attend, and now just remembers him each year when they see that big number 14 out in right field. I always wondered why Mr. Feek used Chapel Hill though, I guess dear ole Mt. Pleasant has been through enough without people coming to us because of a song. But I hope Lance is looking down on us still, and Blaine remembers it was the death of a home town super hero that allowed him to be famous. 14 FOREVER!

This song was sad but i really liked the song. I dont really get into the sad songs but i did this one. After i heard this song and cryed my eyes out i relised i could never stand to lose someone like that. My best friend means the world to me as a sister and a friend i dont know what i would do without her. I also went out and got this cd and now its all i listen to..

great song | Reviewer: Breanna | 4/26/05

This song is great and its sad. I love sad songs and this song relates to a lot of people i know because they tried to commit suicide before i knew them and thankfully they did not succeed.
