Put a band together with influences like Faith No More, Tool, and Fishbone, let each member add unique influences ranging from Phish to Guns n Roses to Trance music. Enter Hoobastank.

Flash back to July of 1998 and enoughmoney saved up to self release the first album They Sure Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To, spreading the Hoobastank sound across Southern California, throughout the United States, and as far as the UK, Brazil, Russia, and Israel.

Even further back to the summer of 1994 when Dan and Doug and Markku started writing music together, and then to early 1995 when Chris answered the right newspaper ad to complete the quartet. Forward a bit to the summer of 1995. The Roxy in Los Angeles. The first show: the lights, the adrenaline and the fans. The fans like you that have enabled Hoobastank to consistently sell out local shows, to play up and down California and Arizona, and to play venues as large as the Palace and even the Universal Amphitheatre.

And then look to what is almost yesterday. A band that has matured and grown enough to get signed to Island/Defjam Records and be picked up by the booking agency CAA, and then to tomorrow: a new album that will set new standards for and a tour that will bring the energetic Hoobastank sound even closer to you.

It has all led up to this, and this is only the beginning...

This is the newest and best cd they have come out with. My favorite songs are "Tears of Yesterday" and "Who The Hell Am I". I suggest anyone that loves this band to get this cd. The songs have so much meaning to them. You are not a fan if you dont buy this cd. It has to be the most outstanding works of art ever to be written, played, and sung.

Me and my friends were looking up for mp3 downloads for Fall Out Boy and their was a ad and it said faster mp3's so we clicked on it and it had lots of Hoobastank downloads. We downloaded it and had a listen to The Reason which we alrays hear on the radio but i thought it was another song, but it was. It was awesome but we are actually a punk fan, not a rock fan but we do like Hoobastank 'cause its in the alternative section. HOOBASTANK ROCKS!!!

Just got this album...it rocks. A must get. Crawling in the Dark, Remember Me, and Running away are the best tracks, but take a look at Pieces and Let You Know also. HOOBASTANK ROX!

I got caught up in Hoobastank since their self-titled album release back in 01 I think it was now, Crawling in the Dark, I listened to that and it sucked me in.

The Reason was a great album also, unfortunately I never was keen on their first album They Dont Make Basketball Shorts Like They Use To, but who the hell cares! THEY ROCK!!!

And now their new album Every Man For Himself to be released very soon! The first single off that track is awesome!
