Home Lyrics - Whitney Houston
Review The Song (4)
When I think of home
I think of a place where there's
I wish I was home,
I wish I was back there,
With the things I've been knowing.
Wind that makes the tall trees bend into leaning,
Suddenly the snowflakes that fall
Have a meaning.
Sprinkling the scene, makes it all clean.
Maybe there;s a chance
For me to go back
Now that I have some direction;
It sure would be nice to be back home,
Where there's love and affection.
And just maybe I can convince time
To slow up.
Giving me enough time in my life to grow up;
Time, please be my friend,and let me start again...
Suddenly my world is gonna change its face
But I still know where I'm going;
I have had my mind spun around and around
And yet I've watched it growing.
Oh, I know you're listening Lord,
So wont you please don't make it hard
I know I shouldn't believe everything, everything
That things we see.
Tell me, should I try and stay
Or maybe I should run away
Would it be better, better
Just to let things be?
Living here in this brand-new world
Might be a fantasy; yes it might be
But it taught me to love,
So I know that it's real, its real, real to me...
And I've learned that we must look
Inside our hearts to find...
Yeah we gotta find
A world full of love
Like yours, like mine-

Boy...who wouldnt want to be back home after listening to Whitney's rendition!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/23/09
I was scrolling through youtube 1 day looking for Whitney Houston songs to listen to and came across her singing "Home" on the Tonight Show at the age of 19, in which, Clive Davis was giving her introduction. This man has truly believed in Whitney from day one. He mentioned her being a "diamond in the rough" and that she is indeed. To see and hear her performance of Home was indeed inspiration. Her body movement and conviction in her voice was so confident and powerful...at 19. She truly captured the essence of what it feels like to be a child again and to be "home" and how some of us can truly say we share the same memories of "Home". A safe place, where there was love and, "good ole times". Whitney Houston was a seasoned singer/performer and indeed had a great stage presence from day the very beginning and I will forever continue to love her music. Music means so much to me and its always a joy to listen to someone that makes "everything seem all better"when you hear them sing, sort of theraputic almost. That's what this song and her performance did for me. Goooo Whitney!!! True Fan

Where is Whitney's Mother? | Reviewer: Peggy Sheppard | 2/28/06
Whitney's mother and/or her immediate family members should intervene through the courts to help her get back on the right track. The family should do whatever it takes to save her.
I am confident that any judge (in the world) will help them in getting control of her life.
Bobby can't save her ... her family's intervention is the way to go.
she made me think of home | Reviewer: janine | 2/16/06
When I first heard this song on the dvd i purchased, it was one of the most beautiful songs i ever heard.Not to mention the singer. Whitney was young and fresh and seemed so sure of herself. She sings with such emotion, I could even visualise each line on the song. Excellent. Never before and never again has Whitney so delivered.
