Home Lyrics
Artist(Band):Sheryl Crow
I woke up this morning
Now I understand
What it means to give your life
To just one man
Afraid of feeling nothing
No bees or butterflies
My head is full of voices
And my house is full of lies
This is home, home
And this is home, home
This is home
I saw him standing there
When I was seventeen
Now I'm thirty-two
And I can't remember what I'd seen in you
I made a promise
Said it everyday
Now I'm reading romance novels
And I'm dreaming of yesterday
This is home, home
And this is home, home
This is home
I'd like to see the Riviera
And slowdance underneath the stars
I'd like to watch the sun come up
In a stranger's arms
This is home, home
And this is home, home
This is home
I'm going crazy
A little every day
cause everything I wanted
IS now driving me away
I woke this morning
To the sound of breaking hearts
Mine is full of questions
And it's tearing yours apart...

Review about Home
a wonderful song... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/28/2007Though written in a woman's voice, very much a universal sentiment which we all, male and female feel at some point and pray or signiifcant others don't, though we know they do... whether we admit it to ourselves or not.
Poignant, touching, relevant, pure and human.
Home is an overlooked gem | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/22/2006
A lot of Cheryl Crow's work is fun, but very deep. That's OK, its pop music, not scripture. This tune carries real feeling and captures a sentiment that most married people go through at least at some point. She accomplishes this with remarkable economy of expression. I was surprised it never became more popular.
