Hero / Heroine Lyrics
Performed by Boys Like GirlsReview The Song (54)
It's too late baby, there's no turning around
I've got my hands in my pocket and my head in a cloud
This is how I do
When I think about you
I never thought that you could break me apart
I keep a sinister smile and a hole in my heart
You want to get inside
Then you can get in line
But not this time
Cause you caught me off guard
Now I'm running and screaming
I feeling like a hero and you are my heroine
I won't try to fervesify,
so just take a deep breath and I'll look in your eyes
This is how I feel
And its so surreal
I got a closet filled up to the brim
With the ghosts of my past and their skeletons
And I don't know why
You'd even try
But I won't lie
You caught me off guard
Now I'm running and screaming
I feel like a hero and you are my heroine
Do you know that your love is the sweetest sin?
And I feel a weakness coming on
Never felt so good to be so wrong
Had my heart on lock down
And then you turned me around
And I'm feeling like a newborn child
Every time I get a chance to see you smile
It's not complicated
I was so jaded
And you caught me off guard
Now I'm running and screaming
I feel like a hero and you are my heroine
Do you know that your love is the sweetest sin? x2

ohmyfreakinggod stop talking about twilight | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/17/11
let me spill a few facts about this song:
1-it rocks. get used to it.
2-it is not the perfect twilight song
3-people like you think every song is a perfect twilight song
4-edward and bella aren't real
5-boys like girls was rocking while twilight was sucking
6-seriously, stop comparing things to an exaggerated, as well as exasperated, short story about some vampire chosing not to kill some below-average-looking girl. it makes you sound dumb.

Alright, first off Twilight sucks.
It sounds nothing, absolutely nothing like Twilight. And I know what I'm talking about because I've read the book. (Plus, it was a crappy piece of literature.)
But, this song...
Oh my God. It is a part of my childhood. I remember listening to this song in about 6th grade, and wishing I would someday find someone who actually made me (and well the other person) feel the same. 4 years from then, I did find him :) Thank you so much Sing365 for posting these lyrics! And thank you Boys Like Girls for creating this masterpiece :Y
Twilight my backside | Reviewer: V | 8/13/09
This song belongs to another couple, it really does. A real hero and a real heroine.
A song with 'break me apart' would never be in a song about Edward and Bella - thats the last thing either would do to the other.
I have no hero. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/19/09
Sniffle... I love this song. Sweetest sin indeed! This is perfect for the Edward/Bella relationship! Why wasn't it on the soundtrack? Despite how great it is musically, it makes me sad. I'm no heroine, simply because there's no hero to pack brawn while I pack brain. Sniffle.

Who said they hate this song?????? That's awful, this is a great song. And, yes, when you read the lyrics it does describe Edward and Bella, but I'm on a Twilight hangover right now from all the publicity it's getting. Anyway, air kisses to Boys Like Girls--you guys are beyond amazing!!!!

She wrote the song when she was 14 & 15, she is from Clarksdale, MS and is only 17 years old, she is singing the song, playing the guitar with her
band July 23. She has written dozens of songs. The song was on one of her websites as a "demo" till about a year ago, not yet named.
She received the first "Youth Acheivement Award" for rhythm and blues by actor Morgan Freeman when she was only 13.

twilight | Reviewer: elle | 8/20/08
twilight is my favorite book of all time and i TOTALLY agree with the whole thing about how it plays perfectly with that book. it sounds so stupid but everything soungs like it could be like a theme song for that book.
