Heart Of Gold Lyrics - Johnny Cash

Review The Song (1)

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold

I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.

Heart of Gold - NOT written by Johnny Cash! | Reviewer: Deborah Berg | 12/6/12

Johnny Cash covered the song, Heart of Gold.
This does not mean Johnny Cash wrote the song, Heart of Gold, as your website suggests.
It only means it is Johnny Cash's version.
Johnny Cash had to get legal copyright permission to cover the song, Heart of Gold.
As most red blooded Americans know, Neil Young is the author of the famous rock ballad, Heart of Gold.
He recorded it first in 1972.
If SING365.COM administrators are unaware of this rock history reality, they may need to do more research/homework on each song submission before posting incorrect information like this on their website.
Or hire someone to join your team, who knows about rock music history, who's job it is to cross reference song submission information.
What a great job that would be!
