He Thought of Cars Lyrics - Blur

Review The Song (2)

Moscow's still red
The young man's dead
Gone to heaven instead
The evening news
Says he was confused
The motorways will all merge soon
Lottery winner buys the moon
They've come to save us
The space invaders are here

He thought of cars
And where
Where to drive them
Who to drive them with
There was no-one

There's panic at London Heathrow
Everybody wants to go
Up into the blue
But there's a ten year queue
Columbia is in top gear
It shouldn't snow this time of year
America's shot
She's gone and done the lot

He thought of planes
And where
Where to fly to
And who to fly there with
And there
There was no-one

i totally agree. this song is a fucking amazing ballad about blow "Columbia is in top gear
It shouldn't snow this time of year." the entire album is a masterpiece of britpop, each song drenched in social commentary. but damon albarn and blur made the mistake of feuding with oasis. morning glory just had great rock appeal, they were easier to get and listen to. the great escape is pretty heavy stuff really. possibly one of the greatest underapreciated albums ever.

i love this song, it may well be my favourite in the world! - you may think i must be a lonely depressive but really i'm not. It's really moving and sheer class, i hope you agree. i don't know why blur's great escape gets so much criticism!!
