Hard Rock Hallelujah Lyrics - Lordi

Review The Song (106)

Hard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Hallelujah!

The saints are crippled
On this sinners' night
Lost are the lambs with no guiding light

The walls come down like thunder
The rock's about to roll
It's the arockalypse
Now bare your soul

All we need is lightning
With power and might
Striking down the prophets of FALSE
As the moon is rising
Give us the sign
Now let us rise up in awe

Rock 'n Roll angels bring thyn Hard Rock Hallelujah
Demons and angels all in one have arrived
Rock 'n Roll angels bring thyn Hard Rock Hallelujah
In God's creation supernatural high

The true believers
Thou shall be saved
Brothers and sisters, keep strong in the faith

On the day of Rockoning
It's who dares, wins
You will see the jokers soon'll be the new kings

All we need is lightning
With power and might
Striking down the prophets of FALSE
As the moon is rising
Give us the sign
Now let us rise up in awe

Rock 'n Roll angels bring thyn Hard Rock Hallelujah
Demons and angels all in one have arrived
Rock 'n roll angels bring thyn Hard Rock Hallelujah
In God's creation supernatural high

Wings on my back
I got horns on my head
My fangs are sharp
And my eyes are red
Not quite an angel
Or the one that fell
Now choose to join us or go straight to Hell

Hard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Yeah!

Rock 'n Roll angels bring thyn Hard Rock Hallelujah
Demons and angels all in one have arrived
Rock 'n Roll angels bring thyn Hard Rock Hallelujah
In God's creation supernatural high

Hard Rock Hallelujah!

Either Lordi are incredibly stupid or this is in fact a song about faith in God. Yes. I said God. Hallelujah is Hebrew and it means Praise the Lord (Lord with capital L that is meant to be God, before anyone goes on saying satan or rock are their lords). So all the theories about the song being satanist or that it isn't even about God are false. Either Lordi are stupid and are praising the Lord by accident or they are doing t intentionally. I don't know but that is what they are doing. People need to read more... Seriously.

I wish they are not satanists... | Reviewer: AT_J | 8/25/13

I'm a hardcore metal fan, in fact, I almost only listen to metal and rnr. I really like this song but this part:
Wings on my back
I got horns on my head
My fangs are sharp
And my eyes are red
Not quite an angel
Or the one that fell
Now choose to join us or go straight to Hell
...
It just got me confused... He describes himself as satan but then he say Not quite and angeel or THE ONE THAT FELL... what else is there?

Crazy Christians Answer | Reviewer: B_Dawg | 9/27/12

Pokemon makers aren't demons, just japanese people trying to get revenge for the Pearl Harbor bombing (South Park)

Anyways, GREAT SONG. Glad this masterpiece was on Eurovision so long ago :D Devil is a loser

Rock on!!!!!!!!! | Reviewer: US Rocker | 4/17/12

Lordi is an amazing band.People think they're satanists, but their not.Not many satanists would say Devil Is a loser.Amen can shred the Paul Gibson, and OX is one of the finer bass players I've heard in my long history of rocking.Mr. Lordi is a perfect metal singer,he even writes COMICS.

Crazy Christians | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/27/11

Some Christians are just crazy I mean look at what they said about Pokemon 'Demons are instructing the Nintendo and Hasbro companies on how to corrupt a child's innocence and create a future army of junior Satanists that will one day rule the world!'

Amazing band | Reviewer: MAND4 | 12/11/10

Each song sends a message ... Some messages are widely seenable, but in Lordi's songs ain't (in most of them though). I really like the part "Brothers and sisters unite in the fatih". It can be seen not just like "faith" but for whole humantiy to unite and fight against darkness thats overwhelming our lifes. They're really amazing band and I'm glad that they won on Everovision among all those flashy-slow-sleep-time pop songs. They had courage, now we're waiting for someone like them to have it too.

Lordi/ICP | Reviewer: matrix86 | 3/29/10

Lordi reminds me of ICP. You listen to them both and think "satanists". But if you actually listen to their music, you'll notice otherwise. This is the first time i've ever heard of Lordi (just saw this song in a Youtube video) and think i'll check them out a little more.

With ICP, every CD is part of a story with a strong Christian theme. You wouldn't think it from listening to some of their songs, but you have to listen to them in order, as well as listening to the CDs in order. It all tells a story and it's a damn good one, lol. Look up "Dark Carnival (Insane Clown Posse)" in wikipedia.

Anyway, i'm gonna go off and listen to some more Lordi and see what the rest of their stuff is like.

great | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/24/09

Nah they dress like monsters because it distinguishes them from your everday metal or rock band. I think they do really well for a band that's been around for so long, these guys have been around ages and they are still going strong and i hope they last even longer because their music is great.

Wow.... | Reviewer: Stubie | 9/14/09

Interesting band. I like their originality and the way they bring something to rock that is just not evident anywhere else.

I don't know why they dress like freaks though, their music is good enough to not have to - and it would give them a chance to do a better stage performance.

Keep it up, Lordi.

Interesting, just got in the mood for Lordi and decided to listen this again - don't ask me why I wanted to sing this after I almost got arrested of shoplifting and it was just one big misunderstanding!
Anyways, I have read so many articles of Lordi that I KNOW that they are not satanists or anything like that. Lordi just likes monsters, he already drew them when he was just a little kid. Teachers got white hair and heart strokes(well almost anyway) when this little boy drew the most ugliest and scariest monsters all the time, but it's have got NOTHING to do with satanism etc., etc. To my knowledge Lordi got happily married in a church(HELLO!) couple of years ago, and is Evangelical Lutheran as most people in Finland are... Just that you'd know.
Btw, I love this song! I was so happy when we finally got the first place in the Eurovision Song Contest! We so deserved it! *happy! happy! full of adrenaline*

ICP | Reviewer: Khorne Sanguine | 5/15/09

Why do people continue to think that ICP are Satanic?. In track 17 of the CD 'the wraith' ICP actually admit that they are christian in the line, 'truth is we follow god, we've always been behind him'.

not satanists | Reviewer: L.D | 11/29/08

i think lordi r actually the opposite of satanists... in the music vid of the devil is a loser, the ppl in the party r actually the "evil bad guys" bcuz in the beginning u see a hallowen bloodbath wathever manifest, maybe meaning that the party was like sum unholy satanist crap, i dunno. i think the lordi zombie guys r actually the good guys in all their vids, like in "it snows in hell" where its obvioous he saves the chick from the angry mob

well, perhaps they actually were pissed by this kiddie crap of satanistic party, so they decided to show up and teach them what it's like to celebrate satanistic rites ;-)

Yes, they can | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/2/09
