What is with everybody on this site thinking every single song has a Christian subtext? Seriously, look in the comments for nearly any popular mainstream song, and you'll see people INSISTING that the song and the band that produced it are religious.

The truth is that no, Lifehouse are not a Christian band, and no, this song is not about God, Christianity, Jesus or any religion at all. It's a simple love song, nothing more. Please stop projecting your beliefs where they don't belong.

well, i am no athiest, i am not a christian... but ima have to say that this song means alot to me. and i have to agree with one of you, this song is about a guy who has fallen in love with a girl. and he has fallen so hard that he simply doesnt care what happends as long as they are togehter. he is sure and positive about it. and i would want someone to feel that way for me, or to feel that way about someone, so this song leaves me a little opened minded. i love it, and i love you, life house. <33 -amery drew.

Look at Lifehouse's body of work. They definitely have a Spiritual message to share. And Thank God for it. There is One True God and His Son Jesus Christ and His Presence here in the world the Holy Spirit. Any belief system takes faith...even atheism and/or agnosticism. I'll take Jesus...the evidence is overwhelming. He is the only One who has conquered death on this earth. I pray you all place your faith in the right place before you face God when you die.

First of all I am an atheist I too do not believe in religion and i in fact despise it tbh. BUT one of my reasons for hating it is because alot of the time religious people try to force their beliefs on people. But the same goes for Atheist and Agnostics, dont try to force your beliefs on people, anything yeah the big bang is science no doubt about that, but tbh if you think about it where did the CHEMICALS come from first? It's a colossal effort to imagine they were "just there" so if you wanted religion could argue that "God" put them there and made the big bang.

yes, they are a religious band, but that dosent mean this song or any of their songs are about god. i personally am not religious at all. this song is purely about someone being in love with another. this song more indicates that he's givin up on telling himself he dosent love her and just wants to be with her, and wont rest till he is. he didnt write it to jesus ffs. its abit like the band Creed but the other way round - they sing about 'the lord' and the light and shit, but it just sounds amazing in the song. but then they arnt actually christian, and i love them and their lyrics but i am so not christian. so stop ruining the song uze christian pepz saying its about god. This song meant so much to me with my first love. My ex boyfriend dedicated this song to me when we first started dating and falling in love with eachother more and more everyday.
It's very general. I dont see the need to but a religious connection to it. But now that someone posted something about this band being christian based..... it totally ruined my moment and "our song"..... all I can say it geez thanks. Gross!

this song is about a guy who had a crush on this girl for a really long time and hes finally decided that despite whatever he thought in the past all he knows now is that when hes with her he falls more in love with her and is just living in the moment, when it says theres nothing else to loose theres nothing else to find theres nothing in the world that could change my mind its like he feels like the relationship is at a point where they know eachother so completley that the only thing left in the world for them to do is just get together and he knows he can't change his mind or feelings for her so then hes letting go of all his doubts, accepting that he is incomplete but knowing that hes going to wait for her until she makes him move on because he continues to fall in love with her, good song

I first heard this song while watching the halftime show for the Pro Bowl (on ESPN). I then listened to the song on itunes and I loved it ever since. I enjoy "Hanging by a moment" because of it's beautiful background music. Not only is this a soothing song, it has many meanings as well. When I heard this song for the first time, I thought that it was about romance. When I read several other reviews, they all said the same thing: The song is written about God. I feel that this song can be thought of as a song for love or Jesus. Whenever I think of a girl that I care about, this song is always the first one that comes to mind. I'll always treasure this song.

This song was dedicated to me by a boy I truly cared about. I still care, I guess. So...the past tense should not be noted. Anyway, we pretend to hate each other, but I know that if I could be alone with him...we'd be hanging by a moment again.
