Dead Kennedys were the most underrated and misunderstood band ever. Large fraction of their audience unfortunately did not understand 1% of what DK stood for and took lyrics like "Too drunk too fuck" or "Califronia Ueber Alles" or "Kill the poor" without any clue what they are really about. This is especially true in non-english speaking European countries where most of DK audience were unfortunately violent drunks who were really TDTF and had something "ueber alles"... But behind this eye-catching titles were the most radical politcal and social lyrics in history of rock'n'roll. From today's perspective, it looks unreal there were ever bands like DK....

Few rock bands get made a good mixture between good written lyrics filled of political irony, simple and authentic instrumental, and the same time rock dancing music with underground soul....

Dead Kennedys is the best of punk/hardcore

This has always been one of my favorite Kennedy tunes. Now that I'm older and wiser, I realize that people haven't changed, however, they've been exposed more than ever before. (i.e. politicians in sex scandals, etc.)
Biafra was like my father when I was a kid. I learned more about life from his lyrics and spoken words than any other source known to me.
