Guilty Of Being White Lyrics - Slayer
Review The Song (2)
(originally by Minor Threat)
[Ian MacKaye / Jeff Nelson / Lyne Preslar / Brian Baker]
I'm sorry
For something I didn't do
Lynched somebody
But I didn't know who
You blame me
For slavery
A hundred years before I was born
Guilty of being white [4x]
[repeat intro]
Guilty of being white [4x]
I'm convicted
Of a racist crime
I've only served
19 years of my life
[repeat intro]
Guilty of being white [3x]
Guilty of being right
[Ian MacKaye / Jeff Nelson / Lyne Preslar / Brian Baker]
I'm sorry
For something I didn't do
Lynched somebody
But I didn't know who
You blame me
For slavery
A hundred years before I was born
Guilty of being white [4x]
[repeat intro]
Guilty of being white [4x]
I'm convicted
Of a racist crime
I've only served
19 years of my life
[repeat intro]
Guilty of being white [3x]
Guilty of being right

fucking good song | Reviewer: néstor | 9/10/09
They didn't write the lyrics of this song dude... it's a cover of dont know what band. They just changed the last verse "Guilty of being right" which actually offended a lot of people cuz they thought it was a racist song: "gulty of being white, guilty of being RIGHT"
a kick ass song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/11/09
Fast paced, hardcore punk. A killer song but the lyrics could be a little clearer. Maybe a little louder and not hidden behind the music. What was Slayer thinking when they did the lyrics? Were they afraid to offend someone? I doubt it but I wonder why the lyrics are so low.
