Formed out of the ashes of Fatal Illness, an eighties
Montreal hard-core band, GrimSkunk had it’s inception in
autumn of 1988 from jamming in an old run down building on
Bleury street in downtown Montreal formerly known as the
BBC. Their main interest in playing together was to have
fun and create there own brand of new music fuelled by
there love of punk, rock, progressive and world music.
Giving into demand, GrimSkunk played their first show in
April of 1989 and they've been touring world wide ever
since, clocking on average 200 performances per year.
Wanting to encourage the independent music scene, GrimSkunk
have started up Indica Records, opened up Skunk recording
studio and set up a concert network in which bands exchange
