Tait God Can You Hear Me Lyrics

Last updated: 12/29/2007 10:00:00 AM

I've been here before
It's hard to ignore
I'm so used to fighting
The same old wars

Oh what do you see when your looking at me
Have I taken You for granted
I can't afford this pain anymore
Won't You help me understand it

God can You hear me
I need You here tonight
I'm tired of pretending that everything's alright
And I know, I know that You hold tomorrow
But I need You here tonight

I want to feel
I need something real
I want to go closer to You
I lay down my will

Oh this human disease it's killing me
Tell me have I been left stranded
I can't ignore this pain anymore
Won't You help me understand it

Say won't You say that
You'll carry me
Carry me through the storm
Won't You stay
Till the morning comes
Morning comes
Just stay

I needed to hear this song. I have to remember that God is not always there when I want God to be, but he is always right on time.

I can hold my tears when I hear the very beguning of this song. It's music, it's lyrics, everything about it makes me whant to get close to God, makes me feel my need of him. This is a very great song if you are trying to find God, it realy helps to have a humble heart, that is at al time and place one of the best human things.

This song is one of the most compelling I have ever heard. It is so raw and emotional in the expressing of a deep desire. A fantastic track by Michael Tait, formerly of DC Talk. I highly recommend this song on the "Lose This Life" (2003). Tait is working on a new album due out this year titled "Loveology" that he describes as "Stevie Wonder meets Maroon 5 meets Lenny Ktavitz." A funky blend indeed.
