Gloria Lyrics - MercyMe

Review The Song (2)

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o'er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the glad song's tidings breathe
Which inspire your heavenly song?

Gloria in excelsis Deo
Gloria in excelsis Deo

Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ whose birth the angels sing
Come adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord, the newborn King

See Him in a manger laid
Whom the choirs of angels praise

Mary, Joseph, lend your aid
While our hearts in love we raise

How could Heaven's heart not break
On the day, the day that You came?
Salvation's reason to celebrate
On the day, the day that You came

Gloria, gloria, gloria

i love this song. i heard it on the radio a couple times and found myself singing it earlier. it is super catchy and i just love it. mercyme is awesome. their music is awesome. their love for Jesus is awesome, because jesus is awesome! this is a christmas song, kind of, but hey, we should celebrate jesus's birth everyday, NOT JUST ON CHRISTMAS. that is ezactly what this song does.

Gosh this song just rox my sox! its that awesome BJ | Reviewer: i SING like the SAVED! | 12/17/2007

i love this song so much. this is my favorite band, and casting crowns, and this song is just so awesome. i have heard it once or twice on the radio and just completely loved it. it is a unexpected twist on all the other christmas songs i usually hear and i just want everyone to know that this song is just so awesome.
