Unseen to the eyes but ablaze in your heart
It scorches from inside just as it haunts
It is unknown to young lovers intoxicated by spring
But when they feel its icy flames they'll know everything
It lives where love has died, this ghostfire
Where poison flowers bloom
It sears from beyond sighs
In the graveyard of promises
It burns right throught the night
Only a lover lost burns in ghostfire (Ghostfire)
Lovers sprurned took their revenge, lie in cells tonight
Once consumed they turn to ash in its cold blue light
Those who can't take the pain
They extinguish the spark of life
For others it comforts, a companion in the night
It lives where love has died, this ghostfire
Where poison flowers bloom
It sears from beyond sighs
In the graveyard of promises
It burns right throught the night
Only a lover lost burns in ghostfire
Only a lover lost burns in ghostfire
Only a lover lost burns in ghostfire (Ghostfire)
The lyrics are amazing.
I agree with an earlier review the songs are ear catching. I bought the album and it hasn't left the stereo in quite some time.
Stand up bassists are pwnsome.
(Nerd moment)
this song has incredible lyrics and the style is fantastic, the bass line is also good seeing as how they have a really good stand-up bassist, and before any of you say anything, Nick13 has an incredible voice, far from mediocre, and the style of music is very original and new at the same time, no need to be aggressive about opinions people
the guy above me who attacked someone for giving their opinion is the real jackass, and their style is original. Very different from both rockabilly and the original psychobilly movement
QUOTE:
Yeah this a great song. I've head a few of the tracks off the album and will probably get it. I like the way the guitars aren't totally distorted like most songs by bands of that genre (goth/punk etc. etc.). The Riff is very original, sounds good and is easy to play (you can tell I'm a guitarist can't you?), the bass is pretty cool, The drummings pretty good but i suspect its been double tracked, the lyrics are cool and the singing is alright-ish. But yeah, not a bad song at all. endquote
The song's style is far from original it is clearly, at best an homage to 1950's rockabilly music and may be compared to the psychobilly movement. So feel free to examine these genre's before assuming something is new just because you haven't heard it before. Jackass =P
I love this song,i love all of tiger army's songs......they rock.......and the lyrics are unique and crazy just like all the other songs....that's the beauty of pschobilly!!!!!
When I first heard this song, it caught my eye (ear?). The lyrics are beautiful and the song is very catchy. With the guitars, I agree with the last person who reviewed this song (about how they aren't as distorted as guitars in other songs). I also like the thumping/slapping of the stand-up bass. Overall, great song. I never get tired of it.
