Geto Boys Lyrics

The Geto Boys that we knew as Scarface, Bushwick Bill and
Willie D died in the year 1993...
Born in Jamaica, Bushwick Bill moved to New York, then in
1987, tired of NYC and anxious for a change of scenery,
moved to Houston. While he was a dancer around the Houston
club scene he met James "Lil' J" Smith, Rap-A-Lot Records
CEO. James convinced him that he could rap and the rest is
history. Bushwick became a member of the Geto Boys in 1987.

"I'd rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I'm
not." - Bushwick Bill

Your right about me being in that song yeah . . . also got my homie Mr. 3-2 helping me out in that third verse. Trying to make it in the world of gangstaism, I was able to replace Willie D of the Geto boys yeah . . . My song came out in the album
"Til Death Do Us Part" track number 10. So i don't know why I'm not part of the Geto boys back then. Surely everyone seeing the video on you tube with my nigga Bushwick Bill yeah . . . maybe it's all te crack I took in but yu all decide what's what yeah . . .

------ About the song Still performed by Geto Boys

This is one of the most hardcore songs I've ever heard that isn't Brotha Lynch of Tech N9ne. The raw lyrics thats paint a picture are just great, this song is a classic and I loved it when they played it on Family Guy.

"How many niggas brought they irons tonight?
How many niggas wanna ride tonight?
Pick out our victims when the time is right
We get they ass up off the corner cause they dyin' tonight
Niggas be all up in my mug
But it's a different story when them muthafuckas coughing up blood
[When he died, looking in his eyes, was he as he cried]
I bust another cap in his ass and he died, time is 5"
^This is the heart of gangsta rap, not glorifying it but just telling it how it is. Some people might mistake it as glorification of the thug life, but I take it as a warning from people who have lived through it.

this is not the geto boys. i dont know who started sayin that but if you look at the lyrics you clearly see it mentions big mike a couple of times. i mean cmon, im about as white as they get and i knew it was big mike just by listening to the mans voice and his signature music!!!!! if you dont know who does the song then dont go guessin. the geto boys couldnt put somethin this smooth out if they tried. with the exception of scareface. goin on his own was the best thing he ever decided to do. one slik cat!!!!!!

this is not the geto boys!!! its BIG MIKE!! look at the lyrics, not once does it mention scarface or any other geto boy. but it does mention the name michael and big mike. just listen to the mans voice and the signature music hes rappin to and you can clearly tell whos song it is. im surprised that nobody has got in trouble for listing the wrong name for so long. every lyric site has got it wrong. EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! do a discography on both artists and tell me what YOU see. thank you for your time- JIM

------ About the song Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta performed by Geto Boys

This song is awesome. That other dude doesn't know what he's talking about.

I know that all the listeners of this song are not all gangsta's, but we could all learn something from it, through it's underlying message. For example:

A real individual makes the right choices in life.

A real individual doesn't run his mouth, because he doesn't start fights.

A real individual doesn't show off, because he knows he's awesome.

I'm hoping your title "Joker" Refers to you joking because just as Kate said said, this is an amazing song and isn't none of that crazy crap when they are talking 4x faster than the average singer. This is classic music and This is amazing. Here's a better idea Varun - How about you get shot. Because that would rid the world of one more loser!
