MK 1 (Dec 1988-March 1989) Matti Kärki: Drums/vocals Jonas Derouche: Guitar Grant McWilliams: Bass Richard Cabeza: Lead Vocals Formed by Matti & Grant in December 1988, purpose: to perform C****ss covers exclusively from the 1st album. Name thought up by Matti, derived from some graphical medical handbook, an interest which Matti and Grant shared with a certain morbidity. Inconsistent line-up. Inspired by seminal Stockholm noisecore band Berbe (part of Matti's unkown dark past.) Managed to rehearse a few C****ss covers and incomprehensible noise, which by a massive stretch of imagination could be mistaken for songs. Nothing remains on tape. For obvious reasons. Did not last. (Submit New General Surgery Lyrics) (Submit New General Surgery Lyrics) Sweden's sickest Surgeons... | Reviewer: <=>Bashing B.<=> ------ Review about artist/band General Surgery Two words for these guys; THEY FUCKING POUND! Well three words then, but I think this is the only way to describe Sweden's sickest posse General Surgery. Dr.Carlsson's slashing riffs meats the sickening tales of dr.Mcwilliams. This, already killing, combination is strenghtened by the 4string Butcher Dr.Sykes and Howling 6string Chopper Dr.Wallin. Finally these rotten tunes are beaten to death by the unstoppable drumbasher Dr.Mitroulis... Putting down their 1st release back in the 1990's (in an other line-up btw), it can be said that these rotten souls know what their slaughtering about... Being one of the few survivors of their shows, I can surely say that on stage they blow away their recordings. It just can't be compared; covered in blood, wearing their uniforms they also wear to work, it looks like they just stepped right out of the morgue, on to stage! From the first riff 'till the very last note these guys hack 'n slash. Pounding for about half an hours to 45 minutes and then leaving the crowd totally confused asking themselves what just happened... Not a bad word about these psychopaths, I wouldn't have the guts (or better; I won't have guts...). If they're around, arm yourself and go see them! If they're not; get yourself one of the recs they released. Otherwise get hit by a giant truck or die by a dragging disease and MEAT 'em in hell... | | ||||||||||
