The music is great and gives a lot of drive, bringing back in 1970's, creeating kind of athmosphere of that time. It's a great track to listen in a car riding on a long highway late in the evening. Green River grown up | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/9/2007 Like many kids I grew up in rural America,fished,listened to the sounds of those summer nights,walked the rails, even hopped freights for short rides, etc., and of course a song like this just brings you right back to it. It's one of my favorite songs ever, in that highest echelon of songwriting. Fogarty got it right more than a few times for sure. Oh, and I just happened to live near a Green River too.
