for anyone wondering:

the french used to cut off the english archers fingers once captured and thus the English used to "salute" them with the V sign (knuckles forward) as a show of defiance. It is this i believe the song is bearing reference to with "archers in your arches, raise your fingers for one last solute". (meaning F**k o** in English culture).

the the bleed the skyline dty is refering to the hail of arrows penetrating the sky (symbolic of the final stand in a relationship).

i love this song, it is actually amazing.
and there are two mistakes i picked up
in the chorus it goes "and AS you scream"
and towards the end it says "that i don't want this, i don't need this" (there is no extra that).
just thought i'd point it out :)

From the lyrics in this song it shows that it could be connected to Matt's stay in hospital when he had Glandular Fever whilst they were touring and writing this album and would later lead him to contemplate suicide in hospital, due to the fact he didnt know what was happening to him, it sheds light on what he could have been thinking whilst lying in hospital gettting worse, until they figured out what he had and to his recovery.

I only discovered FFAF today in English. I know, I suck.

But I have been looking their songs up on youtube. And although I haven't listened to many of their songs, this is probably the best song ever!! (Well, in my opinion)

On the whole 'emo' thing. WTF? Why does everyone have ot label stuff? Can't we just call it 'music'?

And why is 'emo' a bad thing? Sure its bad to be depressed and suicidal but that isn't emo. THAT IS DEPRESSED OR SUICIDAL!!! EMO IS A STUPID LABEL FOR PEOPLE!!

I have been called emo. I laugh. People ask me if I slit my wrists. I laugh and show them my scarless wrists. People tell me to go kill my self. I laugh and say 'maybe I will'.

I am quite happy, I just don't smile a lot. Emo is nothing. Emo is rubbish. We are people. END OF FREAKING STORY!!

I think that this song is about him going out with some girl he doesn't really like, but he's afraid to hurt her feelings '' just to soften the blow '' that is what makes me think that & then he wants to still be friends with her hence the name 'Kiss and Make Up' He's also telling her that she should never let anyone make her feel as tho she is useless and drag her down. Atleast that is what I think?
