All i know is that Sonny Moore has left the band to start a solo career, so now it leaves Matt, Travis, Derek, and now Manning.

There are many rumors going around right now about our band, and we have finally ended up in a position to be able to share with you what has happened over the last couple months since the Atreyu Tour fiasco, the cancellation of the Lost Prophets tour, and our backing out of the Give It A Name festival.

Sonny Moore has quit the band and is working on a solo career. We (Good, Richter, Bloom and Matt Manning -- now an official member, by the way) were in the studio writing for the new record getting ready to fly to Los Angeles to meet up with Sonny to record the record when we got the news about him leaving.

We know that Sonny's departure is going to be a huge deal to a lot of our fans, and we are sorry that these things continue to happen to us (and you). We all tried to make compromises, but sometimes artists just have to do things for themselves.

To make matters worse, Capitol Records was on the verge of being bought out by another label and bands were being dropped. Money was put on hold from the label and with FFTL already in debt due to the Atreyu tour and studio costs..... Well, we were pretty much crippled.

We had a decision to make that night at the studio that I will never forget... This was the most epic, movie-worthy event of my life. We just said, "Screw this. Let's just do it ourselves. The whole thing -- just us four." The good news is Sonny leaving meant that the band had to make changes, and these changes couldn't have been more positive. And so, that is exactly what we have been doing over the last couple of months -- self-producing the new From First to Last album, without a record label or Sonny.

To get the ball rolling, I quickly called my friend Lee Dyess who owns the EarthSound studio in Valdosta, GA where we recorded "dear diary" and "aesthetic" (we also helped him build it), and arranged for the studio time which cost us the rest of our money and favors from Lee. We also teamed up with our close friend Jordan Schur who is not only managing us now, but signed our band to his label Suretone (through Interscope).

Matt Good is now fronting the band along with vocals from myself and Manning. We are extremely excited about this record, and we are stoked to be singing again.

Thank you everyone so much for all of your support, and to the U.K....we are really sorry you seem to have taken the worst from this, we are gonna make it up this year we promise.

Yeah, it sucks that Sonny left. He does have an amazing voice. And he is really hot. But why are you guys haten' on the rest of the band? If From First to Last is your "life" then it shouldn't matter to you who is still in the band and who isn't. FFTL started without Sonny and everyone liked them then. Now that Sonny is gone it shouldn't matter. They will still do great. More than half of the reason they became so pouplar when Sonny joined is because teenage, emo, girls found a hot guy to look at. Stop looking at the members of the band and start listening to the music. That's the best part. I will deeply miss Sonny. And if he ever joined the band again that would be awesome. But I'm not going to stop listening to my favorite band because one of the members left. They will still be From First to Last and they will still be amazing. Good luck guys and I can't wait to see you guys play. :)
Oh and saying you cut yourself to the music and now that Sonny is gone you're going to commite suicide. (And quoting songs from other bands) It will not bring him back. I doubt he will ever even see this. And don't blame the rest of the band for this. It's not there fault, it's not Sonny's fault, it's no one's fault. Things happen

The first time I heard Note To Self FFTL became my favorite band. Once I started listening to all the other songs, I began to love you them even more. Their new song Two As One is amazing. I've always wanted to see them live in concert but Sonny left before I got the chance. Which was lame. His voice did make the band... Only in Dear Diary, My Teenage Angst Has A Body Count, though. [Their best album so far]. Herione wasn't as good. Even though it got sold out. I can't wait to hear their self titled. Even if it's not as good I'll totally enjoy it. 'Cause it's FFTL. How can you not love this band? They are different that any other band; their sound, voices, the members, lyrics, they are just plain out awesome and fun. Fun bands win my heart, and FFTL is the one who won my soul. They rock. Always will. So support them, don't hate 'cause "the hottest member of the band left and he was the only reason why you listened to them". If you only listen to a band 'cause they're hot, you have no taste in music! So stop being freaking idiots and listen to MUSIC.

earthsound is pretty much the bomb and lee is the man. i've stopped by numerous times when different bands were recording just to meet the bands i like, and i was never once treated bad by lee or any of the bands. so i'm glad they gave him the props he deserved, he really is the man. check out other bands he's produced for

and i think fall out boy even stopped by to record a demo.....we have a tattoo artist in town that travels with them....so if you've never been to valdosta GA, you're missing out
