FATA exploded into the NY scene with the release of their 3 song demo and their manic live show 1 short year ago. Word of mouth traveled fast as FATA found the internet buzzing with praise for their of live show and their musical onslaught. With a drive only a 19 year old who just blew off college could have FATA got in a van and have been touring since. Taking their lumps on the road, the band have introduced themselves to the entire US over the past year and are planning their next year away from home supporting their Ferret debut.
In the past year the band found their musical direction and captured their intensity in the form of 'Too Bad You're Beautiful' their debut full length. Somewhere between thick chaotic breakdowns, slick metal riffing and emo melodies FATA created a masterpiece of young musicianship, energy and passion. Their debut is pure intense hardcore the way it should be played - nothing held back, creative, unique and blistering.

Review about From Autumn To Ashes
emo vs what you think. | Reviewer: tay | 12/28/08
first off, you say it has meaningful lyrics, which in turn is emotional music lyrics correct? EMO stand stands for- emotional. the public has change the original 'emo' deff to being 'scene' one in the same, but when you think about it its two different things. Being 'emo' is not an insault, when you actually think about it. calling it 'scene' would be what your thinking of. not that it really even matters. im not trying to stick up for the genre. regardless, i thought you should see another veiw point.
Not very emo at all... | Reviewer: Tim | 12/13/07
FATA is by far one of my favorite bands to date. Hardcore music with good meaningful lyrics that kick ass.
But then there's people who call FATA "emo" and other stupid shit. These are the same people who for one: don't actually listen to them, and two: don't know what emo really is. Those are the fucktards that can't even spell half the words in their bullshit review.
fuck emo. | Reviewer: Karly | 12/13/07
FATA is definitely not emo. like Chelle said, emo is singing about your emotions, not depression. emo music is great, and if you want to put FATA in that genre of music, go ahead. because a lot of their songs are about emotions. and definitely not slitting wrists and suicide. but overall, FATA is amazing :)
To David and Tom | Reviewer: Kung_fu_devil | 7/11/07
Ok, David, youre completly entitled to your opinion but FATA is not cliche. they are not bullet for my valentine or twelve gague valentine, the songs by FATA are very deep and musical, take a look at songmeanings.net, you'll see. also meeting Fran many times i know that he is not what you call "emo" hes one of the most down to earth happy people ive ever met. so next time do a littl research before you judge. and Tom, full words next time bud, i cant read that shit.
emo? | Reviewer: Caleb | 5/13/07
its pretty funny to hear retarded people generalize and put music that they dont even understand into groups like EMO , all music has emotion so just listen to what the hell sounds good and what you want to and dont bag on other people for what they want to listen too. FATA is an absolutely amazing band and every single one of their albums has never been a dissapointment to me and probably not to a lot of their fans. Open your eyes
This S#*T Rocks!!!! | Reviewer: jenn | 5/10/07
I think that FATA ROCKS OUT!! They are seriously balls to the wall. I love being in my car listening to "REFLECTIONS". It puts me in a good mood before I go to work. I work with a bunch of drunks all night, and being in a good mood is the only thing that keeps me from ripping thier F*@king heads off. Thanks FATA!!!
emo? i think not | Reviewer: chelle | 4/19/07
From Autumn To Ashes calling themselves emo is no big disappoint. Emo music, by defintion, is singing about emotions, not slitting wrists and depression.
It seems to have gone down that path with certain unnamed bands leading it down that path.
FATA is a great band and I honestly love every song of theirs.
Emo?? | Reviewer: Jo | 2/20/06
FATA is one of the best bands I have ever heard however calling them 'emo' is truelly an insult. The usual 'emo' is all I am off to kill myself please watch me, please give me your full attention. FATA is a beautiful mixture of screams and song that are both understandable when it comes to how clear they are and how much sense they make. Some of their songs are relatively pointless but others like 'Short Stories With Tragic Endings' show true human compassion and are indeed easy to realte to.
david your a nob. | Reviewer: tom | 11/11/05
fata r by far the best emo/ hardcore, wt ever yu wna call it.... yu jst gota luv em.... n if they wna drop out college to make sum fuking sick music, fair play to them. their fuking awsome ya twat
mediocre and sad | Reviewer: David | 10/20/05
Another college skipping band, cliche band with cliche lyrics. Emo has gone in one straight linear path. Love it or hate it, FATA fans have one thing in common with all these other emo bands and their following, depression. Its so sad, emo has gone the direction of girls and bad relationship stories; show some possitive, stop killing our youth, the world is not a dismal place. In short evolve your music.
