Friend to Me Lyrics - Garth Brooks

Review The Song (2)

Well you and I
Were buddies
And weve been since we first met
Me and you
Well we've sure been through
Our share of laughter and regret

Lord knows we've had our bad days
And more than once weve disagreed
But you've always been a friend to me

You can be so stubborn
There's times I think you just like to fight
And I hope and pray
I live to see a day
When you say I might be right

And there's times I'd rather kill you
Than listen to your honesty

But you've always been a friend to me

You've always been
Time and again
The one to take my hand
And show me its okay to be
Just the way I am
With no apology

Oh you've always been
And you will till God knows when
Yes you've always been a friend to me

When I first heard this song it reminded me of my friend Abby Nest. We were always there for eachother and even though she'd rather fight than talk her I knew that she cared and wanted to talk. She is and alwyas will be my very good friend.

This is one of the most expressive, heartfelt songs I have ever heard. I am a person that relates a lot with her feelings through music, and this particular song is fitting to send a message to about 15 different influential, important to my life people I know. The way garth sings this song, all the feeling he puts into it, you not only hear it you feel it as well. Just one of the many fine songs we have to enjoy thanks to this fine artist. Would have to say also for various reasons my favorite.
