Freak on a Leash Lyrics - Korn
Review The Song (18)
Something takes a part of me
Something lost and never seen
Everytime I start to believe
Something's raped and taken from me...from me
Life's gotta always be messing with me
(You wanna see the light)
Can't they chill and let me be free
(So do I)
Can't I take all this pain
(You wanna see the light)
I try to everynight, all in vain...in vain
[Chorus]
Sometimes I cannot take this place
Sometimes it's my life I can't taste
Sometimes I cannot feel my face
You'll never see me fall from grace
Something takes a part of me
You and I were meant to be
A cheap fuck for me to lay
Something takes a part of me
Feeling like a freak on a leash
(You wanna see the light)
Feeling like I have no release
(So do I)
How many times have I felt diseased
(You wanna see the light)
Nothing in my life is free...is free
[Chorus]
Boom na da noom na na nema
Da boom na da noom na namena (x5)
Go!
Fight! Something on the...dum na ema
fight...somethings they fight
So! Something on the...dum na ema
fight...somethings they fight
Fight! Something on the...dum na ema
no! Somethings they fight
Fight! Something on the...dum na ema
buy...somethings they fight
[Chorus]
Part of me....(x3)
Something lost and never seen
Everytime I start to believe
Something's raped and taken from me...from me
Life's gotta always be messing with me
(You wanna see the light)
Can't they chill and let me be free
(So do I)
Can't I take all this pain
(You wanna see the light)
I try to everynight, all in vain...in vain
[Chorus]
Sometimes I cannot take this place
Sometimes it's my life I can't taste
Sometimes I cannot feel my face
You'll never see me fall from grace
Something takes a part of me
You and I were meant to be
A cheap fuck for me to lay
Something takes a part of me
Feeling like a freak on a leash
(You wanna see the light)
Feeling like I have no release
(So do I)
How many times have I felt diseased
(You wanna see the light)
Nothing in my life is free...is free

Go!
I was Born in 1998 and sadly my generation and the generation before (Justin Beber) have ruined music today.
This song and band restored my faith in humanity.
Thank you Korn

I'm not sure exactly why anyone can think that Korn is specifically creating songs telling teens to rebel. At his age, do you really think his concern is trying to convince teenie boppers to rebel against their parents? Half the time the only reason teenagers feel 'opressed' is because they don't like a curfew they set or something silly like that.
Why would Korn even try to convince teenagers to rebel against their parents? Not every parental situation is the same and most of the teenagers that complain about something their parents do, it's for the kid's benefit (or at least they think it's for their benefit). Either way, they are trying to do what's best. These kids can have a right to talk about 'opression' when they've grown up in a situation like me and my brothers did were we feared our mother would kill us in our sleep and the rare times she let me even out the house over night, it was at my cousin's house and even then the times she let me do that were maybe once or twice a year.
Its not THAT good | Reviewer: Helena | 1/2/12
I don't understand why people find this song to be the best,it's alright but not their best song maybe the lyrics reach out to teengers in the 90s but the sound wasnt as appealing to me,it sounded more grung kiddy to me and if I wanted to listen to that I would listen nirvana more not korn, in my opinion korn has more of a smooth sound to meatal and their experiments with sounds make the songs sound different and fresh but this song sounded a bit too slow and long for my taste.

Since I can remember I've been listening to koRn's music. Korn is amazing. As I get older I can relate more with more and more of their music. The song clown... very good. Reclaim my place, another good one. Jonathan Davis has already said wat the song freak on a leash was written for, but if we get something out o it... and can relate to what the song says... then that makes it even better.

"That's my song against the music industry. Like me feeling like I'm a fuckin' pimp, a prostitute. Like I'm paraded around. I'm this freak paraded around but I got corporate America fuckin' making all the money while it's taking a part of me. It's like they stole something from me, they stole my innocence and I'm not calm anymore. I worry constantly." – Jonathan Davis

this song is so pimp-ed, it aint funny, if there were olympics for songs, (which there should be in my oppinion) they'd have to give it a 10 all the way around
grow up | Reviewer: Joel | 11/11/07
its about rebellion ... so many of you are transferring your own problems onto this song and saying thats what its all about ... not everyone rebels against parents or even has parents to rebel against to .. its about rebelling against conformifty
