Franklin Lyrics - Paramore

Review The Song (65)

When we get home, I know we won't be home at all
This place we live, it is not where we belong
And I miss who we were in the town that we could call our own
Going back to get away after everything has changed

Could you remind me of a time when we were so alive
(Everything has changed)
Do you remember that? Do you remember that?
(Everything has changed)
Could you help me push aside all that I have left behind
(Everything has changed)
Do you remember that? Do you remember that?

So we stand here now and no one knows us at all
I won't get used to this
I won't get used to being gone
And going back won't feel the same if we aren't staying
Going back to get away after everything has changed

I love this song so much!! It reminds me of Snape and Lily Evans in harry potter, how they lived in the same neighborhood and became best friends but then everything changed at hogwarts...

being me and having an obsession with paramore, this song kind of reminds me of the farro bro's. :( paramore will never be the same without them! this song kinda calms me down when my feelings are a bit rough cos it reminds me of good things... e.g when saw paramore live!

Wow. | Reviewer: A girl who misses the Farro's D: | 1/27/11

Franklin ISN'T ABOUT YOUR EX BOYFRIENDS! gosh. :P
Hayley and Josh wrote this because they miss their home-town. Franklin, Tennessee.

Listening to Josh's voice in this song. makes me sad. and listening to the drum beats Zac is playing beautifully. makes me sad aswell.
because of the fact that one year ago Josh and Zac left. D: I know that the new band members will probably still be able to play the drums like Zac and the lead like Josh. It still sounds the same.
But to me. NO-ONE can replace Josh and Zac no matter how good the new guys are. They were and still will be in the Paramore Family to me. ):
I'm gonna miss the amazing Farro Brothers

It would be scary if they (Farro's) read this. lol. maybe they could've forgotten the lyrics or something. lolz!

Paramore is number 1

dude, this song is.... whoa, amazing. | Reviewer: Jasz™ | 6/28/10

this is a really good song. yeah, i get sad when i listen to it, but its a REAL song, it reminds me of things i went through with a very special dude. and my (ex-bestfriend, kinda) this song just makes me feel so... alive, and idk its hard to explain. its the most played song on mah iPod, i mean i serious thing this is one of Paramore's best songs. all their songs are amazing though. i could listen to All We Know Is Falling, all the way thru. well, yes. if you want to get into Paramore, this should be one of the first songs you listen to.

;D

This song is really great and I can really relate to it. I've just gotten back with my ex I am in love with him so much and I adore him, but things aren't the same as they use to be. It really gets me down.

Paramore calls their song "Franklin" because they are from Franklin, Tennessee. It's not about an ex-boyfriend, though I do believe it has something to do with the two band memebers of Paramore breaking up and going back to the town. Which, they did date and break-up. Franklin isn't a man, it's a place.

Just....Amazing | Reviewer: Flippers6189 | 1/21/10

This song can touch the hearts of everyone, and it has a true honest meaning to it. It is so beautiful, and whenever I listen to it, I remember my ex-boyfriend and how we used to be so close. If anybody asked me to recommend a song for them, I would defiantly choose this song, Franklin By Paramore.

in memory of friends | Reviewer: maggy14 | 1/23/10

this song reminds me of me and my friends and how we all of the sudden became strangers.wish i could go back to the time when we were like brothers and sisters.what did happen to us? :/

Paramore has found a way to vent its love for its town. They love Franklin almost as much as I love St. Louis, MO. Poor band... on the road all the time, and hardly at home. They have all my sympathy. The music itself is a piece of all the beauty in this sorry world. Keep rocking!

<3 this songg!!!!!!!!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/29/09

First, to "Grammar Whore" some people that come on this site are dyslexic and possibly foreign. So shut up before you start making smart arsed comments.

Second, I adore this song. The song sounds like the whole band is just remeniscing, it makes me think of really happy times. It's strange how it just makes me do that without me consciously wanting to. I adore it so so much <3
