Fortunate Son Lyrics - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Review The Song (48)
Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Ooh, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no
Yeah!
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no
Some folks inherit star spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More! more! more! yoh
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, one
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no no no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no no no
Ooh, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no
Yeah!

Lord, don't they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door

For the ignorats that belive in war games, the only propose of USA is keep a development bassed in the war... Your "trust" system are falling down, and tne only way to keep it is make new wars... Please, change your "Constitution" and the laws that protect the gun´s free sale... That´s the only way to evitate school crimes and bombs in marathons... Idiots... More sanity and less guns.

For you idiots who consistently say that the U.S. military lost in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afganistan...the NVA and Vietcong were routed in just about every battle in Nam..In Iraq, Sadam's army was overrun in about 1 month, as was the Taliban from Afganistan. It is our politicians that want to try to win the hearts and minds of people who really don't give a shit about democracy, or our way of Government. I'm not here to argue that, but to say that our miltary lost to a third world country is nonsense. While it will go down in history that we pulled out of Nam, after a 10 year war, that was because the politicians never let the military attain what should have been the real objective which was to defeat the NVA and not just support the freedom of the South Vietnamese. If our military would have been given the "green" light, the NVA and Vietcong would have been destroyed within a few months...even with China's help! Too bad our politicians don't actually believe in winning wars, but using them as political pawns...same as Iraq and Afganistan. Believe what you want, but wars are won, when the battle is taken to the enemy, in their territory, something we never did in Nam, except for some sporadic bombing, which didn't last long. The Iraq army and Taliban in Afganistan were defeated by our military in no time..however, our politicians wanted us to play the part of occupiers and our military was left to deal with insurgents, which hid behind women, children and collateral damage. instead of an actual army!

If you had not heard this song before the end credits of Battleship, you are too young and inexperienced and uneducated to be commenting on the subject of war. Man you're dad forgot to fill you in on good music!
Battleship | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/11/12
I looked this song up because it was in the credits of the movie "Battleship". Mostly cause I liked it immediately. (Sorry about any typos, Im writing this from my dsi.) Holy crap, people, these are SONG LYRICS, not terrorist plans to bomb our country! Why can't we just sit back, relax, and enjoy the song?

Enjoy the song I feel it inspires soldiers to fight for what they believe in. Not everyone is raised to be a soldier, but many go and fight because its what they believe in. They believe in freedom.

Fuck you all. I CAN get erections you bleeding cunts. You are all Nazi-Terrorists that touch each others sweaty ballsacks. Your penises are so small you need a magnifiying glass to see them and tweezers to touch yourself.
Yours Sincerely, Allan the hermaphrodite.
how can there be peace when fights escalate over song reviews | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/3/11
Really? Why does there always have to be fighting everywhere? For gods sake, can't we respect the sacrifices made and learn from them? Obviously America wants to play international police, thats old news, but thats the decision of our elected government, im not saying it's right, but it's important for other countries to realize that most Americans do not agree with our government, and that the interests of the American people and the agenda of Congress are two completely different things.i will gladly wave the flag with pride when America has my interests at heart, until then I will continue to respect our troops, and our vets, but disagree for the reasons they are fighting.

You sir are a ignorant piece of shit that judges an entire country off the stupid loud ones. You who think you know everything. You just jump on the Fucking hate bandwagon. Learn some history and you would know each country isn't sinless, Let's look at today's world then? How you ignore every other country unless it's America. You know how bad some of these other countries are? I'll let you do the research so you can open your eyes.
It's people like you that makes the world truly bad, because you do nothing to help but hate one country because everyone else does but when another is even worse you ignore it because it's not on the news.
But now on to my review of the song
I love this song c:

to all the radical liberal bastards | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/13/11
to all the radical liberal bastards. you are all ungrateful little pricks that need to understand that as may the drafted soldiers didn't like the war. they still fought with honor for YOUR country so that you may have a better life. how would they feel if they knew you were slandering their name and calling the killing of their friends and family a waste of time. as for the kent state incident they were radicals who bombed a ROTC building. they had no peaceful intentions.
COMMUNISM | Reviewer: Erik | 6/11/11
Listen to anyone that think this war wasn't it important, I'm sorry but your wrong. At when WWII ended and the cold war started some of our allies and all areas in the pacific started going communist, When Truman was president he set up the containment policy because we as Americans felt that if everyone in the pacific went communists we would be taken over. So as this continued, and Eisenhower became president he came up with the idea of the Domino effect saying that if you Cuba and Vietnam became communist nations everyone would start becoming communist. So we were not trying to defend our country in another country we were simply trying to contain communism throughout the pacific. Was the war pointless, in a way yes because all of the nations we tried to stop became communists later anyways. But communism isn't as big these days especially in places like China. But In a way we did lose the war because although they suffered three to four times as many casualties as we did we did not accomplish what we were sent there to do.

You are dumb. We killed over a million viet. We lost 50,000. Sure it was a dumb war, but we won. We blew the crap out of them. Then we pulled out because we decided it wasn't worth the loss. And, by the way, Kennedy escalated it also. He was a Democrat. Let's see you go to a guerrila war like that and not be able to shoot some villagers. Man, they strapped bombs to their kids and sent them at our troops. What would you do?

Message for the retarted redneck prick who is trying to justifty the killing of millions of humans | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/3/11
The war now and the war then are pointless wars that we got into for all the wrong reasons. I dont shit on any soldier that has fought and sacrificed for this country. But its the greedy selfish swine of out representatives that push us into these wars for their own personal gain, using us as their pawns in their high-stakes game of chess. Most soldiers in Nam were drafted, meaning they had no f'in say in whether or not they wanted to fight. Senators sons and millionaires were able to buy themselves out of the draft, but the other 99% of capable Americans had to fight and die in some far off land for reasons that were never fully explained to them. So stop this useless bickering amongst ourselves and take your anger out on the real foe, The Government. Not Obama not the democrats, not the republicans, but the fukin structure of it and the useless individuals in it who prohibit any progress in this country. Remember they may say they are on your side, but they are only jerking you off to get your support for their dastardly agendas. Don't Trust Politicians!
