How do you thrive in the shadow, substantial and
arena-sized, of a group that has sold over 35 million
albums? If you're Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, the answer
is: shine your own light. Shinoda is half the vocal
firepower of the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning band Linkin
Park, trading diaphragmatic diatribes with singer Chester
Bennington and infusing the searing alternative rock with
equally intense hip-hop. From album to album, Shinoda and
his bandmates have garnered a reputation based on their
appetite for striking new ground. On his first outing
alone, Shinoda is ready to show people that he is still
hungry.
Shinoda's rap roots have always had to share space with
other elements-until now. Fort Minor is a wholly unique,
unadulterated hip hop album, owing as More...

------ About the song Where'd You Go? performed by Fort Minor
I want to cry evertime I hear this. Mostly because about a week ago my boyfriend of 1 year told me that once he graduates this coming May, he is going to join the Navy and do a two year program. We are so close right now, and I dont want any of that to change. I am so afraid of him leaving. I just want to hold him in my arms. I dont know what to do. I am so happy that he wants to do something good with his future, but it scares me. My best friend also told me recently that she is joining too. Im losing all of my close friends to the Navy, and Armed Forces.

------ About artist/band Fort Minor
One thing I always loved about fort Minor is the fact that rather than becoming a rap group obsessed with writing about hoes, money and guns they have messages and are willing to send them out.
Kenji and Right now both have me crying after first hearing them and Red to Black/Where'd you go remain some of the greatest song's I've heard in years.
Mike is an amazing artist in every sence of the word and FM is equally as amazing as LP althought I'm more partial to the latter myself. all I'm saying is I'd love it if more meaningful rap songs were released, maybe some new FM tracks
Fort Minor has a really good rap and their lyrics ar goob because they rap with respect not like others that think that they are good but they are not..... and they use real instruments with some wicked beats wich is really great. Fort Minor WE MAJOR :) Keep up the good work peace out.

------ About the song Hard Way performed by Fort Minor
I just love this song, its so deep, can't help but relate to the words. like always Mike Shinoda and the rest of the members of Fort Minor made a great job with the lyrics, music and vocals, and I believe the reason why some of you downloaded this song under Linkin Park is cos Mike Shinoda is in Fort Minor, I seem to find alot of song either from FM or Chester Bennington's new band, Death by sunrise under the name of Linkin Park.
Keep it up. | Reviewer: Sultan

------ About the song Hard Way performed by Fort Minor
This is a Fort Minor song. The reason you picked up the wrong song is because many M2M songs were put on the internet under false names, but with Linkin Park sound (Mike Shinoda, Chester Bennington), a lot of which are canceled songs from M2M (And can be heard on Underground), but this is one of them.

For Minor is an amazing band. I think Shinoda really needed another band to express himself totally in. He sounds great in Linkin Park, but even better in Fort Minor! Any fan of Mike Shinoda should definitely listen to FM. I like the fact that he hasn't abandoned LP, just started FM as a side project. You go, Mike!

------ About the song Kenji performed by Fort Minor
I first heard this song and didnt exactly hear all the words so I didnt quite understand it, but when I sat down and listened to it, I replayed it three times. Each time I heard these things, my heart sank deeper and deeper into my chest. Its almost if I could feel what his family went through. The emotional level of this song boosted my respect and admiration for Mike Shinoda so much, I felt emotionally connected with his past. I never knew a song could do so much.

it's kind of funny how you listen to a song, and think it's kind of alright then you look it up on the internet and you find it is the greatest song every made. The lyrics fit the song so well it means so much when you put it in that kind of context. I am amazed at these late song that people have been releasing it's like as awsome as every one ive ever known and aspecially for some one like me from France.
mike shinoda has a unique perspective on the musicians style. the lyrics he writes has total meaning in every song he writes. alot of people have heard that album (the rising) tied and none of my friends have any bad statements about it. for instants the way he wrote a song about how the japanese were treated during ww2 was a verry good idea. in school they only teach us they did that to protect the japanese but thanks to shinoda i was inspired to educate my self upon the true history and how we treated the japanese. so bassically what im saying is mike should keep up his side project (FORT MINOR) later

first of all, mike shinoda IS STILL on linkin park. second, FORT MINOR IS THE SH*T!! THIS IS HOW HIPHOP SHOULD SOUND AND TALK ABOUT unlike those other mofos rappers that r always talking about bangin girls, drugs, being rich, clubbing and always being the darn center of the universe/party maaaaan im sick of that. PLUS mike shinoda adds melody to his songs w different instruments unlike those other showoffs w just beats repeating em over & over so yea.
GOOOO MIKE SHINODA!!!!!

------ About the song Remember The Name performed by Fort Minor
It's more of a question rather than a correction, in Ryu's 1st verse even though all the sites have the same I cannot help but understand "This is 20% skill" instead of "It's just 20% skill", most likely I might be wrong I just wanted to check whether am I the only one who thinks that, that song is the thing, awesome.
