Forever Lyrics
Artist(Band):As I Lay Dying
Forever, your eyes will hold the memory.
I saw your heart as it overtook me.
We tried so hard to understand and reason
But in that one moment, I gave my heart away.
I gave my heart away.
In that moment, I gave my heart away.
In that moment, I gave my heart away.
With that perfect breath where my mind lay beside me
And all I knew is what had overtaken me.
With no reason, I am comforted by inability to understand.
Forever, your eyes will hold the memory.
I saw your heart as it overtook me.
We tried so hard to understand and reason
But in that one moment, I gave my heart away.
I gave my heart away.
In that moment, I gave my heart away.
In that moment, I gave my heart away.
Forever your eyes will hold the memory.
Forever your eyes will hold the memory.
Forever your eyes will hold the memory.
When I wake from this dream,
Will your smile still open my heart
And leave me transparent?
When I wake from this dream,
Will your smile still open my heart?

Review about Forever
religion (for reviewer mike) | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/30/09
who cares if AILD is religious or not? good music and genious composers. Religion is not a scam. It is a subconscious decision on where your afterlife will be. When you die, it is my belief that if you subconsciously think you will go to hell for your crimes etc then you will go to hell subconsciously when you die. If you believe you will go to heaven then you will go to heaven. Just like if buddhists believe they will be reincarnated then, in their mind, they will live another life on earth. etc.etc. That is my belief... religion is a subconscious decision that everyone makes.
I am not attacking anyone | Reviewer: nellybear | 6/6/09
Generally people write and sing about different aspects in THEIR lives or issues that are close to THEIR hearts...We all know that all of the band members of AILD are Christian and hence Jesus will be important in their lives (and possibly feature in their lyrics)... Obviously not all their songs relate directly to God, but I believe that all their fans should respect AILD's religious beliefs and refer to their music in terms that is respectful to the artists. Sure, any art is open to interpretation but who do they refer to in their song "This is who we are" ???
shut up and enjoy the song | Reviewer: boffom | 3/21/09
i think its a good song and agree with one of the people on here(too lazy to look for his name). i love the song and the lyrics but, its stupid that people argue about its meening. its a song, be thankful that u can actualy hear and enjoy it. im an interpreter for the def, and its really sad that people like them cant hear this. so shut up and just listen to the song.

UM wow some people need to shut up they could be talking about anything.... its not always going to be about jesus or god or whatever..... and if it is so what and its not a sin to cuss ok it says hell and damn and other words in the bible, so does that mean the bible is a sin..... NO i didnt think so!!!! SO SHUT THE FUCK UP :)
bullshit | Reviewer: mike | 3/2/09
well i hope everyone here realizes religion is the biggest scam since diet coke i mean come on how can you read the bible and think anything in it is real it's a frikkin fairytale that people took wayy to seriously.. and how come there are like 30 differant gods if any religion was the "right" religion it would be the only one there can't be 50 differant afterlifes.. if everyone agreed on one holy being then maybe religion would make since but all it is, is a bunch of lies strewn together to manipulate people into giving all of there money up for no reason.. it's bullshit and if you were smart you'd realize it....

wow. | Reviewer: David | 11/24/08
I have never ever seen so many people argue over music in my life. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and interpretations. Whether or not AILD is a Christian, hard core, alternative, jazz, rap band, who cares? It's friggin' great music. Why spend so much time arguing? Every single AILD song has the same reviews with people arguing about how they are or aren't a Christian band. Just be grateful to have music.
wrods from Tim Lambesis!!! | Reviewer: Bad Religion | 11/19/08
Although As I Lay Dying is often considered a Christian band, Tim Lambesis stated on the band's FAQ, "I'm not sure what the difference is between five Christians playing in a band and a Christian band."[3]
He also mentioned that the lyrics to most songs "are about life, struggles, mistakes, relationships and other issues that don't fit entirely in the spiritual category."[3]
catholic? | Reviewer: tony | 10/7/08
if you knew at all what you were talking about, you would understand that God has given you his word and told you to live his way. whether or not you choose to is on you. telling someone to f**k off or anything like that, because they know or understand their God, and their relationship with God, is pretty bogus. you claim to be a Catholic. You aren't.
